Because he is untouchable on here. He's been poor since he moved to centre, can't think of many that have been as consistently anonymous. The sooner we sign Gleeson the better.

That's what I thought.All this pressure on Sharp is unfair because the man on his inside is the golden boy at Hull. Don't get me wrong, I rate Whiting really highly and really like him as a player, but simply saying Whiting's best position isn't centre therefore it's ok for him to not be great there isn't good enough.

Phelps will get better, had a much better game last week and will continue to improve IMO.

What is Whiting's best position though? Ask 10 people you'll get 10 different opinions. Mine is that he's the perfect bench player.

That I'm not sure of. He is a great bench player, but I do think he has deserved a starting spot.

He has trained all pre-season at centre and that is the position he has been given this season. He should be experienced enough to know how to defend at centre by now.

No I think he deserved it due constistently impressing when he played and giving his all in every game. Like I say, I aren't doubting his ability, but when he is performing poorly fans are actually scared of calling him incase more fans get on his back!

Dropping Sharp would be daft!
All our right sided defences problems aren't Sharp, Long is defending at Centre and is Weak to say the least, with Long darting out the line Whiting does not have the pace to cover the gap left leaving Sharp with egg on his face,

Just an idea but maybe when defending in our 20 could we slot Fitzgibbon out to the right with Long/Obst, Whiting and Sharp and move the second rower at the time into the middle; It would be a big ask but Whiting is a solid defender and having Sharp Whiting Long Fitzgibbon you've got a lot stronger line. I'm pretty sure you'd be asking to much of Fitzy but it's just an idea ....

The simpler solution would be for each defender to spread out by an extra half a metre or so. This would give our defensive line far less compression and mean we don't have 3 on 1 out wide. If the only way we can defend is to put too many men down the middle then we have bigger defensive problems than some think.

I never said it was perfect! That's why Agars (allegedly) a coach and I'm not!
Surely any change in plan can only be a good thing at this moment in time? He could rotate with just about anyone in the team to a good standard and gives us options to shuffle the back line around if things aren't going too well.
At least I'm offering options other than "Agar out". Cockle.

10 games he got from me this year, even if he wins the next 2 we will have fallen short by 3 wins. I'm not pro Agar, never really have been since the end of 2009, just thought an improved 2010 deserved a chance this time round.
He's failed. But while I only see Mcnamara or Noble as replacements I think I'd rather stick it out until the end of the year.

You reckon? More likely to be progressive clubs looking for coaches at the end of the season and my opinion of his coaching abilities is so low I'd rather have you in charge than agar. At least you could bore the opposition to sleep
