Quite possible. Ditto bonuses for playoffs and cup runs, neither of which are going to be paid out.

So some of them do, then. Once you start to say the winning bonus pot of £1.6m is, say, 15% of the total that's £240k to be budgeted. If it's all contingent on reaching the play-offs that's an immediate underspend. Add in Crocker and the fact you should always leave a bit spare in case of injury crises and the need for loan signings, it starts to appear more understandable. |
