And yet we remained an indisciplined and disorganised group with poor results on the field throughout his period at the club. He worked hard on the field , no question , he's been a great servant to the game in general but regardless of his efforts here the result has been ordinary at best. A legend at FC? No way. That would just devalue some of those that genuinely hold that "title". |

To echo a lot of what has already been said, Fitz is a great servant to the game and obviously worked incredibly hard for FC.
It's been a pleasure to see him in the shirt, but it's just regrettable that his time here coincided with one of the most forgettable periods in the club's history.

Would liked to have seen Fitz in his "pomp" and in his proper position of 2nd row....been a privelage to have seen 1 of the MODERN day Legends in Australia play for us but dont think he is up there with some of the other imports we have had.

Great to see Fitz there tonight.
He has been great for the club and Yes he has not played his best Rugby but he has always gave 100%.
When he signed i dont think most supporters realised what a ledgend he is in OZ , i spent 4 years over there and came back the year he signed, His last season in the NRL he played better than he had in the previous 3 and was superb. What a shock it must have been to come here and play for Agar and with the culture at the Club. For me though he was outstanding and without his leadership we would not have even made the playoffs .

From a sentimental viewpoint I agree with your point. However when Fitz chose to come and play in the UK at the end of his career, there was a strong chance that he would bow out in exactly the circumstances that he did. Fitz knew this and IMO he would not be that bothered. He had a befitting end to his playing days when he retired in Australia. |
