Boris has just announced that stadiums can reopen in October so looks like there is a possibility clubs may be able to play in front of fans come October.

I would imagine these announcements are being made based on the science and data that SAGE and other experts have no doubt looked at and not just something announced on a whim.

...it's also based on one or two events being opened before October, and carefully monitored to see what the impact might be.

This will never work, it could mean that as many as 6000 passholders will have to find somewhere else to sit.

At 33% it would work fine, season ticket holders obviously get first refusal, probably still quite a few who would choose not to go anyway. In current circumstances, getting 8k fans at the kc would be a bonus

not commercially viable, take 4,500 off the capacity (West Upper) and that is just short of 7,000, extra stewards, no extra income. It just wouldn't be worth it.

So how does spreading 8k supporters around every section of the ground work?

Or, to put it another way, are they likely to cram everybody into the lower west stand?

Suspect the SMC won't make it easy to access the West Stand Upper. Seeing any games this year for me will be a bonus.

NRL started by at least allowing the corporate, as bars were open - I would probably pay an upgrade ? or be happy to be part of a ballot ?

Pubs aren't allowed to show games live at the moment, so that option looks unlikely.

Flaming Toronto folding has also reduced our 15 game season to 13 - will be a real struggle to make the Top 4, probably need to win 10 ??

The Cup is an interesting point. If non Super League sides withdraw that means we only need to win three games to win the Cup plus we get a week off whilst other sixth round games are taking place.

I respect the opinions of people who fear the worst, it’s fine don’t go to the games, lock yourselves away whatever, but don’t slate the people who want to get on with living and getting back to normal, as long as we stick to guidelines, respect others, then I’m sure it will be fine, covid is going to be around for for a long time, best get used to the new norm.

I think MorningGlory23 makes a fair point although he maybe didn't quite word it in the best way.

There is talk of a vaccine but there is a chance that it's a long, long way off and it's possible it'll never happen. Fans will return to games at some point be it this year or next but there is a strong chance that social distancing will remain. Many supporters will just not feel confident about returning to games and that's their prerogative. I guess we are lucky in that there is more room at the KCOM than at the likes of Cas, Wakefield and Rovers and an all seated stadium is easier to organise. Hopefully anyone who wants to attend will be able to when the stadium reopens.

Your just making stuff up now, people are scared, which is understandable, nothing wrong with that, or like I said before, are vulnerable. But a lot of us ain’t and are sensible enough to go to the rugby under guidelines without worrying about catching or spreading covid, I’ve not had a day off work during covid, I don’t think I’ve had it, I’ve protected myself and others best I can, what more can we all do, 8k fans in the kc is easily doable, which was my original point
