The way AP spoke in his interview about what was going to happen in Sep/Oct is it hardly surprising people want signings like this? Is it surprising that people feel underwhelmed by signings like Lynch, O'Carroll & Bridge (albeit rumours)?

O'carrol has had injury problems but if he is over them he could be pretty decent and bridge is an England International who im guessing is keeping yemo out of the team.

TBF, the three of them are all of the required calibre to compete for SL. It's not the quality of any of them that are the issue, it's age, fitness, and unrealistic expectations.

Agree about Johnson, would be better than O'Carroll IMO and will probably have multiple suitors when his contract ends so we should get in early rather than miss out. If Burgess leaves Bradford it will be for Souths I would expect.

My beef with Lynch is he's too old. He has one year left on his deal, even if Bradford agreed a release why would he leave? Unless we're offering more than his market worth in wages or we're offering a substantially longer deal. Which at his age would be stupid.

O'Carroll has played 18 games in 3 years ffs. If there wasn't any concern he'd still be at Wigan.

Bridge is vastly overrated, if we had money and a quota this is where it should be spent. Even good quota forwards will not make you a top 4 team, us being a prime example. Good quality quota backs can.

Petro and price dont seemed to have suffered due to there age and fitz has been outstanding even at 34 and the work he puts in is amazing so I have no worries with Lynch he is real quality and just what we need.

O'Carroll has sorted out his injury problem and although a gamble could pay off and Id expect him not to be on loads so could be a good bit of buisness. Bridge Plays for Warrington and is an England International so cannot be that bad can he ?

I like lynch, good forward and would be a decent gamble on a 2 year deal with a small fee.

Lynch hasnt shown any signs of stopping and has been brilliant in such a poor team.

You've said this before, but 2 good examples don't mean a thing to whether or not Lynch will last that long. Most players are still starting to wind down by Lynch's age.



How on earth can you know that O'Carroll has sorted out his injury problem? Just because he's got back to fitness does not mean he will remain fit. Wigan obviously still aren't convinced if they're letting him go, and I reckon their physios and doctors know a damn sight more about him than ours at the moment.
