What makes you think that your wealthy acquaintance has the inside story on what's happening at not just one but BOTH clubs in the city? Is he involved with them in some way?

I guessed you had, can I ask what association does the individual have to either Hull or Rovers? as far as I'm concerned they have never shown any interest in the sporting clubs of this city. So what would the person know?

Because they like football, and if you knew him well you would know this. I have met them a few times my uncle used to have Hull Golf Club (also a massive city fan) and the Healeys went there, nice modest blokes big football fans.

Not slagging you off mate, just pointing out that none of this appears to add up, also if you knew the Healeys well enough to be boozing with them you would not wonder why they had not invested in Hull FC as you would know that they are football fans

Look, love. No-one's slagging you off. But if you want to drop in something potentially explosive you have to put some meat on the bones or not hint at all. Seems to me that Healey has not said anything you feel confident of repeating, therefore it's probably best not saying anything at all.
