Yes. None of the 4 potential starters for Friday (I'm including Maloney) looked anything like. I expect experienced first teamers to look a class above the rest in the reserves, but they didn't. In fact, it was quite depressing to watch the style of rugby being played - they were as clueless as the first team.

Totally Agree. Wigan also only had Mcillorum playing who has played first team and they just looked a far superior team. The end scoreline flattered us to be that close tbh!

Yup, you could tell he was a first team regular. That couldnt be said for our players. Couldnt believe McIlorum ran through Thacks for his try too!!

3-4 years ago I used to watch the U21s (as was) and see enough potential coming through - Lee, Washbrook, Hall etc....

Granted, it was only the 2nd time I've seen the reserves this season, but I didn't feel particularly positive from what I saw.

It is a incredibly young side though and lacks the players who are used to that level especially in the halves.

I think it is across the board TBH. The standard i've seen so far this season has been very poor. The better players are now playing first team and the others have gone to NL clubs to earn some money. Quality is at a premium now in that comp and a lot of the matches are a pure waste of time.

In fairness he is limited in his options due to injury and visa. I think Whiting will be involved not sure about anyone else.

Personally I feel the team needs a shake up. Not nessarily in terms of dropping everyone but dropping around 3 players (not sure who, but I feel Houghton and Thacks need to be back at least) and changing players around

Dont think he can be criticised for his words. Other things maybe but he has said we were abject and pathetic on Sunday and he's right.

Yep, he was right. But if he believes we were that bad, and doesn't go for big changes then he will be shown up as pathetic. We have played terrible in the past 2 games, poorly against Cas and hit and miss for the other games bar Catalans.
