| He said mixed reaction on twitter, I think thats based on two responses he got from established1895 and delgirlhoward which were not positive. I tried to redress the balance with my response.
Quote ="Mrs Barista"The HDM editor has said there has been "mixed" reaction to the Lynch story. I don't understand why.
1) Injury record? Er, no. Appearances in the last 5 seasons: 27, 25, 24 ,26, 25.
2) Effectiveness? I've posted his stats before:
4th highest metres made in the comp after Tomkins, Roby and Graham
3rd in the comp for offloads with 50 so far this season
9th in the comp for tackles - 699
5th in the comp for carries - 463
3) Age? Warrington have the oldest squad in the competition in terms of over 30s and aren't looking too shabby, including Morley, who at 34 is older than Lynch would be at the end of a 2 year deal.
4) Attitude? Captain of the Bulls, arguably their most respected player, and "has made clear his desire to move to the KC Stadium."
If we signed him we'd have Ogre, Moa, Lynch, O'Carroll and Radford. With the lack of props in the market (remember the protracted chase for Fielden last year), I'd be very pleased with this.'"

| Will be a very astute signing if comes off, proper SL front rower - wealth of experience.
English, true a year older than we would want, suspect his popularity and the dearth of english props might be upping his contract somewhat and taking a 2 year contract into 3.
Sure he will be one of the top earners at Bulls so won't come cheap, add a fee ( even if its only 50K ) and this is not minor business. AP etc. absolutely right to seek best value from next years salary cap.
In the new management we trust.................................

| He'd be a very good signing for 2-3 years. Remember we are likely to lose O'Meley, Moa and Radford at the end of next season.
As Mrs B says he plays plenty of games and he brings experience and leadership to the front row.

The point here is that at this point, with season passes about to be launched, Shannon McDonnell, whose nickname is Junior Burger, apparently, and who averages 9 games a season, is not really a quota player to get excited about, especially as a utility back. Just saying I'd be utterly underwhelmed by it. FC have previous in signing players with poor injury records, I agree, but if you can point out what McDonnell would bring to the party, I'd be grateful. Bit worried about this.

At what point have we actually been linked to this centre? I think you and Mrs B are getting a bit ahead of yourselves here.

I agree, just look how many welcomed agar with open arms
lynch is a quality forward and would have been an England regular if he'd signed for a top side instead of bradford

| andy lynch would be a top signing for a year or 2 a front row of omeley and lynch with moa and ocarrol coming of the bench and radders as back up not bad at all really hope this comes of. what are peoples thoughts on Yileen Gordon a strong centre that im sure has played a bit on the wing and backrow but at 24 and a fair amount of nrl games behind him and his best years in front of him id certainly look at him?. after these 2 we would still need a backrow someone like larne patrick would be very good

| If we can get lynch I reckon it's some way to replacing fitz . Lynch doesn't break that many tackles but his work rate is similar to fitz"s . Could do with a back rower as well who's young but could step up to prop next season as we"ll be losing 3 next season . Watts would have been perfect .

I think he can do 80 mins as well, which would be valuable if we are cutting down to 10 interchanges.

| Hopefully we can sign a blockbusting back rower along the lines of, Watmough or Alex Glenn. We have plenty of 'grafters' in the team and think that another blockbuster would complment the team.

| With the signing of Lynch looking like it's going to happen, the next priority should be a centre then a back rower or winger.
Squad will hopefully look like this:
1. McKinnon
2. Sharp or new winger
3. New centre
4. Yeaman
5. T. Briscoe
6. Horne
7. Seymour
8. O'Meley
9. Houghton
10. Lynch
11. Tickle
12. Manu
13. Westerman
14. Heremaia
15. Whiting or new back rower
16. Radford
17. Moa
18. Sharp or Whiting
19. Turner
20. Ellis
21. O'Carroll
22. Lyne
23. J. Briscoe
24. Nicklas
25. Cunningham
26. Green
27. Crooks

I'd personally like to see him stay. Think he's class and will only get better.
