A good game and both sides looked tidy at times, the Championship level is better than often credited and on today's showing it will be hard for some of the dual reg guys to break into either squad. Chris Green is a good example of what can be done.

Agree with most of that, pleasing to see Green carry on where he left off. HTW has a good boot on him too. Thought our #2 was quite scrappy, as in tenacious, though.

Cunningham's an interesting one. Went better towards the end, but where's his best development opportunity?

Attendance was over 1.700 with well over a thousand from hull, which was excellent for a first hit out for a very young team.

I agree with the above. Was impressed with the final comeback to level the scores and to be fair it was first run out and bitterly cold. The problem was the passing from the play of the ball and 2nd receiver. We seemed to have the lines/structures but poor passing meant we had to step back and slow down and then Donny were upon us. The usual Hull FC problem!

1700+ at the game for those who like figures. Judging by the postponed kick off/ticket office queues, 1400 of which arrived about 2.45pm.

Big thanks to Hull fans for turning up in such numbers. We are not used to this number and it showed in the organisation. Surrounded by Hull fans all very cheerful and friendly. Sorry you did'nt get chance to boo cookey. All in all a good game well pleased with our defence.

seems they didn't learn from when we went a few year's back and again it was chaos trying to get tickets and get in the ground.

At least more of the stand was open this time so there was enough room once we managed to get in.

I really don't think Donny will be much of a force this year - they played basic rugby well enough but they will face plenty of tougher teams than our u19s.

Still, a nice day out for the rugby-starved fans.

thought the young lads did well, as expected, donny got on top as our 1st teamers went off and the likes of bowden, kent and hadley too, around the 30 minute mark until the hour mark i think the full 13 were the acadamy team apart from kent who came on around the 50th minute, at which point doncaster were bossing the game and scoring

I found it longer queuing for something to eat once inside the ground, then I did outside in the queue for a ticket. It was even worse in the Lakeside pub with only one bar staff on

I don't think any of them were prepared for the amount of support we took. Lakeside was packed and the concessions inside the ground made the KC operation look really slick

Miller impressed me yesterday. Hope he continues too.

Watched the game last night.

Pretty poor game, with lots of mistakes, penalties and not a lot of line breaks, good workout and defence from both teams.

From the first team Hull I thought Green and Bowden looked very strong, made such a difference when they where on, I'm predicting a massive year for Green this year, expect him with more game time, to really kick on and replace Andy Lynch. Also thought Miller looked sharp.

Can't fault the young players effort and really stood up when they where being bullied by a big physical Donny team, the two that most stood out was Brad Fash and BTW, both looked really strong and made some good yards when we where struggling.

Looks like radford agrees with me, both those forwards in the squad against bradford. This is why I was against signing the fijan prop.

Reckon their time with England Knights will have done them the world of good.
