as with most players who get a dead un I guess he thought he could run it off which to a degree he did, few players come off for a dead leg unless its a bad one but hes running ok since then so no harm done

In a friendly it doesnt make a difference if its a dead leg or a broken leg he should have come off.

He could have easily took another bang on the leg and be out for a couple of weeks and people would be calling RA.

I think you misunderstand the point, many times you dont know its a dead leg till after the match , every player on the pitch will have recieved a shunt that he could have come off for but they play through them!!
anyway its irrelevant as he is ok isnt he

Does anyone actually want Horne to play. He clearly wont be fit so why take the risk? hopefully its just paper talk. lets get RH as fit as we can and only then let him play IMO

Fully agree. A bruising derby's not the best game for a comeback. Plus a bit harsh on Turner IMO.

He shouldnt play. I'd keep him training, give him a few games in the reserves then bring him in. Even if his 1st game is round 7-8 thats the best way imo.

Agree with that, just because he is Horne doesnt mean he should be exempt from a few games in the reserves to prove his fitness and that he's fully recovered from his injury.

He also needs a couple of run outs before stepping straight back into SL

How about we convince him to retire and replace him with someone who has the physical presence and ability to not only play the game to a standard the he cannot but to also be able to get himself on the pitch for more than half a dozen games a season !!

This has gone well O/T.....but if were now debating Richard Horne, if fit, id play him at 1 with Turner 6, if we have to bring him back in a derby then so be it, if hes fit hes fit and he plays in my book.Remember when we brought him back at Wembley?

I want him to get 100% fit and then earn his place in the side. Rushing him back will no nobody any favours, least of all Horne himself. A lot of his problems over the last few years have been down to playing injured far too often over the course of his career. Turner is doing well enough IMO to play at Cardiff and let Horne have the extra recovery time.

As a mod, why are you allowing and contributing to blatant "THREAD DRIFT"........this is an exchange of opinions on Horney, and nothing at all to do with rumour, i believe
