Playing wise i'm lead to believe we've signed a "big name£ backrower from the NRL.

We usually announce it that we are in talks and yes,he has but we signed up Lineham,Crooks,Shaul with more than a yr left and Tickle,Manu and Briscoe all had a yr left...look where that got us.

I said if Gentle goes and compiled a list of coaches who could do a job for us and improve us.Westerman i have never rated and Kent and Hadley are the future of the club or are we scared of slinging kids in.

Realised that as i typed.

Forwards have got to be a priority, our pack is beaten most weeks! Defensively ok but don't batter teams about! Pitts, Green, Bowden and Johnson, whilst ok are not big enough for me! O'Meley is solid but rarely makes huge yards! Tickle is a strong runner, too many errors and penalties! Lynch makes yards, age is catching up! Watts needs backing up every time he runs the ball we don't utilise his offloading capabilities! Ellis runs hard and tackles hard, doesn't get the service to utilise his skills!

I'd stick with the Backs, no backs can perform with a beaten pack!

At least 2 props and 2 second rowers would be ideal! Never replaced Moa or Manu for what they brought to the team, Ellis does exactly the same as Tickle in terms of running!

I'd be tempted to look at the stable that has produced Bellamy, McGuire, Kearney. And maybe look at David Kidwell although Easthullfcfan did point out that he left Wire early because he didn't settle. The problem were getting now is the 2nd tear coaches, your Jason Taylors and the like, don't need to come here to earn money. They have that many coaching and media opportunities in Aus now.

Shaul didn't have more than a year left IIRC. And the thing is, the main reason that Lineham and Crooks will have got new bumper deals is because they will have previously been on 'youngster' money, but had been elevated to first team players. So they were given new contracts to reflect that.

100% correct and all down to poor coaching. I've felt for some time that gentle wasn't up to it and tonight has confirmed it for me. Don't know who we should get but we should probably have gone with noble rather than gentle. may not be the world's best coach but a whole lot better than gentle and would have taken us forwards, not backwards.

Always had my concerns about appointing an inexperienced coach and we really now need someone with head coach experience
