That statement worries me....when we was struggling for players in postitions last season,he didnt hesitate to bring in foster and Goldie.Gaskell is on dual contract at Rochdale and reading on Sts board,Brown doesnt rate him.

That worked a treat last season didnt it....so Gentle starts to play players out of position and changing team round....last season,he went like for like with youngsters....why not now?

Having seen a picture via twitter of the pitch, it's going to be a forward battle no doubt. Hopefully that should see us home, although I'm not overly confident.

Briscoe looked good a full back last season the Widnes game apart, I'd much rather him be there than Crookes or Lineham.

It's not ideal and if we were at home then things would probably be different.

So there was 2 major doubts in Holdsworth and Mcdonnell,why didnt we take Shaul and recall Nicklas for this game?? Seems to me that Gentle is feeling the pressure and darent put youngsters in.The team will be severly disrupted and most likely have Heremia at 7 which doesnt work at all.

Sooner play Shaul who is a fullback or put Whiting there,who has looked good also and he can be "spared" out of the pack.

If he'd moved Whiting you'd only be complaining about moving Whiting away from the back row and when Crookes is out the squad why haven't we put Briscoe there.

Maybe some of us expected less improvement this season than others, and are consequently not quite so surprised at the way things are going? Widnes aside we're not far off where I expected us to be right now TBH. Especially given the absence of Ellis, the situation with Seymour, and the number of games Holdsworth has missed.

Errrr no i wouldnt as know Whiting can do a job there and if DJ had been fit then Horne would be there but seeing as he is the only fit H/B in the squad he has to stay in the halves.I just think Gentle is making changes for the sake of it...could have gone like for like and IF Crookes has a good game,can see him staying in for friday and Lineham being left out.
