what a bunch of sore losers you lot are, blame the ref, we got injuries, they were offside, luke robinson battered two of our players of the park

may i ask why the supporters that do go deserve that and tbf our club for last 30 odds years has had to suffer being in lower leagues and getting battered by teams like rochdale etc. i think after watching all that them fans deserve a good team and success. but anyway your hardly the first club to moan about our support.

we will get on with it and our team is in a very good postion atm and hopefully it will be a good game on sunday

Childs had an influence on the match that is for certain. Would we have won without him? I doubt it.The boys battled hard but ultimately didnt have the strength or fitness to break a well drilled Giants defence. Any side that has Whiting at prop for as long as we had will strugglr against the Giants.
From whats been raised here as i recall Kirk's injury came when he had the ball and was clearly hit high. i saw from 40 yrds away in my seat Childs saw nothing. Ticks was an accident as he was tackling.
The decision to award penalty for obstruction was correct. Once they regather the ball you cant wait to see if they will knock on etc.
As for offside at scrums etc he was simply inept.

don`t understand this guy childs.his very first game as a ref in sl.he was good.infact quite a posters said the same about him.but what has happened?cummins must have had him in his office and told him he`s doing it all wrong,and if he doesn`t change and forget about the rules,he will be back down in the lower leagues.

He was bad both ways, FWIW.

I'm guessing he missed Crabtree running at Houghton for most of the match as well.

We were always going to be up against it in this match but that clown in the middle made it even more difficult.

This might explain his no show at Salford yesterday. We got Roby in as a late sub, and he can at least count to six.

I have sympathy for anyone watching a game where Childs is ref, by some distance, he's the worst official at the moment.

In his defence he can count to 6 unlike some officials. This bunch are without doubt the worst set of officials in RL history imo. not a single decent one amongst them.

Exactly and he wasn't free from controvesy himself during his career as a ref. The standard is very poor and something the RFL really need to pay serious attention too. I hate to say it but oh for the days when we had Russel Smith and even Ashley Klown.

Childs was bad yesterday (only ever seen 1 decent performance from him!) but you can't blame the outcome of the game on his decisions or indecision!

I got home and watched the Sky game and Ganson was in a league of his own! Stuart Cummings needs to get the refs sorted out because they're getting worse!

James Childs - Can't get a grip in the game and makes far too many incorrect decisions. Classic example of a ref who makes a wrong decison, realises it then gives the team a penalty later on!

Steve Ganson - Makes the rules up as he goes along! Ruins the game when he decides he's going to concentrate on one part of the game (i.e laying on) and penalise normally continously

Theirry Alibert - Can't count!

Each super league game would probably turn out very differently depending on who is in the middle. I think this is just wrong.

TBF I dont think anyone has blamed him for the loss as it was inevitable that playing Rovers then the current league leaders who were able to rest players on Friday we would most likely be running on empty in the last 1/4 of the game.

the worst standard of refereeing this season i have ever seen in my 30 odd years of following the game.

Have some sympathy for them though , i think the game now is far too fast for only one official in the middle, half the time they cannot keep up with play, the game is light years different to what it was 30 years ago.
In the quest for a more appealing TV spectacle rules have being changed and tweaked, the game is so fast now. some games a virtually like touch rugbythe play the balls are so quick nowadays.
We either need more officials on the pitch ala American football or we need to slow the game down, tidy up the play the balls.

I think the ref in SL are pretty poor overall far too inconsistent, and the linesmen may as well not be there either, big investments needed for the sport imo.

quite good that it's been made public that he got a ban, refs need to be disciplined as much as players imo
