Also on FOI requests they are obligated to spend a "reasonable" ammout of time collating stuff without charge (at least ERYC do), a lot of the stuff standees requested should be easily identifiable with very little time, and if they try the "insufficient time" angle, there is nothing to stop 4 people requesting one item on the list each.

Indeed, it will be interesting to see what happens, they obviously don't know what I do for a living, so any attempt to try and confuse me with policy,procedure etc. will be quite hilarious.

It does, look, however, from reading some of the "gift" entries on the register, that it is up to the individual to self-declare, and that would mean relying on their interpretation of the value of the goods received. Some people may assume it's OK to break things down into individual items. There'll be no audit records to check against in most cases, so it really is down to the honesty, memory and interpretation of the individual. I'd guess.
