I think you need to stop taking yourself so seriously, and everyone else so literally. We were beaten by the better of two very poor sides. What irks most Hull fans is that Wakey have every excuse to be poor this season given their off the field problems. The suggestion that we lost deliberately wasn't intended to be taken seriously, but some of the passes that were dropped looked so bad that they could have been deliberate.

How would you know and why are you bothered? Were you a neutral at the match or something? I actually agree we were beaten by a better side, but Wakey weren't good. They were better than us which really just shows how pitifully shocking we were, but at least I witnessed this with my own eyes so know enough to say that you are exaggerating Wakefield's performance just a tad.

And if you worked your ar[is[/ie off in every shift, only to know that your line-manager is still and always will be a tos[is[/ier, who hasn't got the first inkling of how to get the best from his crew. How long would it take before you thought "why do I bother?" and just toss it off like your boss?

I was saying similar last night, the staff liking their boss is rarely a good sign in my experience, having a "healthy respect" for their boss is a different matter!

Once again a neutral comes on here and tells us how we should feel about our team. I have news for him and any other "neutral", not one self respecting Hull FC fan expected us to walk it last night. Most of us have been supporting the club for long enough to know that despite the apparent riches in playing personel we are totally incapable of "walking" a game. Least of all against Wakey who as the record books show have turned us over on more than one occassion since SL was born.

Add in the mix John Kear who will have been bigging up his players all week to beat his old team and the BOD who sacked him. That plus King and Lee with points to prove and bingo we go down to defeat. Kear is more than capable of raising a team for the odd game history has shown that. What he is incapable of doing is getting teams up for it regularly and consistantly.

Which brings us back to Agar and Hull's players. They seem to rise for the odd game (Wigan last week and Sts for a game and a half last season). It happens so infrequently though that I suspect its the players who get themselves up as opposed to a coach who thinks his job is on the line everytime HIS team cross the line.

As Codhead has stated its down to the boss. In my line of work my top bosses (equated to the BOD at Hull FC are a set of self pubicising shisters) I don't work for them. My two line managers though are top blokes and I will put my all in for them. I see very few players doing that for Agar at the moment and I suspect given his thoughts last night he is seeing what I am seeing now.

I do not think they would deliberately throw a game though. That said some of the apparent knock ons if they had been committed by Pakistani Cricketers......... well I leave it to you to decide what I am trying to say.

And if you were the line manager of a workforce who couldn't perform the basic requirements of the job, like catching a ball and holding on to it, or putting it down properly when they get over the try line,and then you as the line manager got the blame, you may also feel little aggrieved if everyone was calling for your head.

We should have scored at least three trys before half-time last night, we didn't because the 'crew' didn't do the basics.

For the record I think Agar should go, I'm just not sure it's all his fault.

I have said, on a number of previous occasions, Agar as a head coach at a Superleague club is one step too far for him, I said the same about John Kear and I have not seen anything to persuade me other wise. The Board promoted Kear, as the promoted Agar and recruited Peter Sharp. That indicates to me that the Board are extremely poor pickers of men, no organisation can be so consistently unlucky. This, what appears to have been poor selection, cannot be down to incompetence, their recruitment has been deliberate and only they know the reasons.

What they must now realise is that the Golden Tit, that has been the fan & sponsor base of Hull FC, is not an everlasting fount. If they refuse to accept that their lifeblood is starting to dry up and the cause for that is purely and simply down to their methods of recruitment and management, then they are not fit for purpose.

In many ways I feel sympathy for Agar, just as I did for Kear. They were both promoted beyond their capabilities. Both men should accept that their greatest contribution to the game is as an assistant coach. Both men are exemplary technical coaches. In my not very humble opinion, Agar should accept that fact and request to be relieved of any management duties.

There is no doubt that the players are far from being incapable of performing the basic tasks, they have each, individually and as a team proved, time after time, that they are more than capable of performing not only the basic tasks but far more complex tasks.

Before querying the players, any decent line-manager would be looking inward and asking himself why. "What more could I do to ensure they perform those tasks consistently?"

I would suggest the only moron on here was the one who suggested/hinted/ 'heard someone who heard someone else say' that the loss against Wakey MIGHT have been deliberate.

If my managers can't get their teams to perform i'd want to know why. I'd want to know why they recruited them in the first place and what development plans they have in place for them. After continuous under performance by the team i'd want to then have a look at the Managers performance and their ability (or lack of ability) to Manage.

Ultimately the buck stops with the Manager for having an under performing team.

Why don't you get off your high horse? We've been through it before as FC fans, so if you don't like it, save your energy and breath in arguing.

The thing is they did, and do quite often perform well, and then, just when you think they're going to deliver, at least one of them has a brainfart, and the rest is history.

As far as recruitment/retention goes, well it's like the curates egg. However we do have a reasonably good squad with some very talented palyers. I repeat, I believe it's time for Agar to go, so that the new coach can put their mark on future recruitment/retention.
