I think there not being 5+ agar out threads started each day may be skewing your perception in respect of that.

I think we need to be competitive in the remaining games aginst leeds, wire and wigan, hopefully winning at least 1 of the home games. That to me will show real progress. We've improved against the mid and lower table sides (salford and crusaders away excepted), but still not been at the races against any of the top teams, saints apart (and I think the long factor played a big part in those games). P4 L4 in games against leeds, wigan and wire with 3 heavy defeats in there

I am still on the glass half empty than full. Performances are improving slowly, but we are still far to prone to major cock ups. Quins (Scotland) Crusaders, Salford away are examples. Cas away was a real arm wrestle with us making it far harder than it should have been. We made mistakes on Friday and the Sts first half was an example of how poor we can be defensively. For me we tend to run marathons to win games instead of putting teams to the sword.
We are very reliant on Long, Fitz and O'meley in a way I don't see Wigan, Wire, Sts and Leeds being so reliant on players.
That said if they stay fit we could be laughing.

Houghton of late has been outstanding which is a sign of the work taking place in training. Briscoe gets better, Moa who I have yet to really rate is coming on strong and Tickle and Manu are forming a great and very devistating partnership. Its the backs who leave me thinking we are at best 5th placed team. Our stats point to it with I believe our points for and against showing us 5th.

I would like to think we will win our remaining home games, but Wigan and Leeds will be big asks. Quins away is always a defeat, though I will be there with more southern friends praying for the best. Bradford blow hot and cold and of late seem very cold so I would hope for a win there.

Giants away will be tough as it always is as is Wakey who we never seem to shake off.

All in all though we are 4th and in touch with the top with players either coming back or finding form, but being a Hull fan of many many years I know only to well that it can all go tits up within a few weeks.

That was a few weeks ago we have played 3 games that where simalar to those (Cas, Catalans and Salford) and come through all 3 comfy, Agar and the team seemed to have learned from these games and thats all you can ask, learn from your mistakes.

I think now we are 8 points above 9th we have a play off place in the bag, it's up to to us to build on it.

Quite a big game this weekend if we beat Huddersfield and Bradford lose to Warrington then we will be 6 point above 6th place and so that should see us finish in at least 5th spot, which would be a fantastic achievement.

If we can keep our key players fit for the play offs I think we could suprise a few people.

its made fun reading, we're loosing games and its all agar out, we start wining games and its "we're not winning by enough" agar out or "it was the players/webster" get rid of Agar.

So far as Agar is concerned there is no pleasing some people. He can do no right so far as they are concerned and never will.
