Thorman is a decent player who can produce quality at times, the problem we have is that he isnt a play maker but has been put in the side and expected to give us the direction we need when he isnt capable of this, he is never a 7 in a million years but would be very useful if used properly.

if we had either byrne or tony available then R.Horne would be at SO.

for me last night showed me that with 3 playmakers on the field ie washbrook, thorman and horne we looked a much better side IMO.

we have to play washbrook at LF and horne and thorman in the halves.

radford is killing our attack by playing at 13 as a 3rd prop. (this is not his fault as he has been doing the job he is sent out to do) this comes down to negative tactics on the part of the coaches

Agreed, I saw him play there for Cas and thought he was awful, seeing him play there for us confirmed this.

I thought Horne was playing two positions last nite and against a better team he would have been exposed(ie the interception). There was even times he packed down at loose forward.

It reminded me of kids rugby when the best player from a weaker team tries everything he can to help the team but ends up not playing to his natural strengths.

Horney is our best player by far but he cant only play in one position at one time and I can see much success from the multi role .

I would consider Horne as our 1st choice FB and, in an ideal world, I would like to see us recruit a 6 and a 7.

our full back always does in a defensive scrum, but in attack would you rather have Horne or Radders playing the good ball from an attacking scrum ??

Full backs nearly always pack down there so they are not going to be involved in the tackle and can drop back into position quickly.

got to be honest i have missed that element of our game but why would you lock your best strike player in the scrum?, in relation to radders he would not be my choice at lock.

That said not convinced with horne playing this multi role but i am sure time will tell.

I agree, if he is being played as a prop then play him at prop as he's as good at it as any other and better than some we have. Play either Washy/Whiting at LF, as Washy was quite anonymous last night at 6, in Radfords defence he gave a superb ball to Horne for his try.
