Fact is Judas is saying what vast majority think. With this squad we lost 11 on the spin and took 2 x record defeats.

Where are the 3-4 proper signings ? We've added no one on quality- no one ! So more of the same and a tough start to boot.

For me it's a poor start - LR and AL given the sack - name a stand after LR - either Ellis steps up or a proper modern creative coach steps in and away we go ! Top 4 and a CC final

I am very positive - this squad can win the Treble - BUT we need a modern coach - bags of ideas and playing the beautiful game as it should be.

Half "this squad" weren't playing or were unfit, in particular key playmakers, something most on here (+Schofield) seem to be conveniently ignoring at the moment.

Schofield makes a living out of being controversial, this statement is a prime example of that. He contributes nowt to the club but Hull fans gobble up rubbish like this because it suits their agenda.

He is a prize b3ll 3nd. He just says things to stir the pot, and people have bitten. When you stop giving his opinions air time, he will disappear.

As things stand I think that it is entirely plausible to make a prediction of Hull and Rovers finishing 9th and 10th.

Over 29 long hard rounds I think that London and Salford's squad depths will see them fall away.

Other than those 2, I see everybody else either having the stability or steady growth to finish above us both.

Hope springs eternal though and we both may have injury free seasons and our new signings could click straight away. Then, who knows what could happen.

What he is referring too is the atmosphere in the dressing room and our dull predictable rugby and that is what some of us concur with.

Couple that with our poor recruitment and that is a concern for some.
You however conveniently ignored the context of what was said inorder to prove your own point and positivety.

Whilst I disagree with Schofield in terms of where we will finish, I can't help but think he does have a point about the way we play under Radford. Many have said, me included that we needed to adapt the style we play so we are able change it during the season so we are not so predictable with the Sneyd kick to the corner or maverick play from Kelly or Connor.
Sneyd to be fair did start to take the line on more last season but then got injured and we lost him for the season.
If we can keep the first 17 fit and on the field most of the season then we will still be in and around the top 6. Last season surely can not be repeated injury wise so still feel we will do ok, however we are lacking pace in the backs which limits us to an extent.

That said I can't see Leeds all of a sudden becoming a top 4 side even with the two big signings, Wigan again is difficult to see how they get on post Wane. St's for all the sock fests that went on about them last season fell short like Cas the season before.

Do think if we can stay relatively injury free and keep a settled side out for the majority of the season we will still be up there come the play offs.

our play is boring and laboured.. adding utter tosh in recruitment will not help the situation either.. i agree with gary regagrding that...

You do know a comment is not a bite but merely an expressed opinion by some posters.

Schofield has a point
We dont have any dynamic forward in the team or forwards that can offload the ball and we all know our style of play is predictable and sometimes boring.
Given the fact that both Green and Bowden are likely to miss the first month of the season we are back to using Masi and one of Bienek or possibly Thompson in the starting 17 as the front row.
A bad result at HKR could leave us 0-3 going into March.A continued bad run till Easter will see Radford on his way.

Think Schofield's saying we are a boring side because we play a forward game.We have to play a forward game because we have no pace in the side.We have been crying out for pace in the team for a while and most of us know that, and most teams know that,so its only logical Schofield knows that.Think we would see a difference if we had a couple of pacy backs and a mongrel forward

Well personally I think we will make the playoffs without too much hassle. Whether we are good enough to actually win something is a whole other question.

Spot on Dabhand 're your post and in particular the last sentence.I would guess most fans agree and that's what's so disappointing that this hasn't been addressed in the close season.Poor recruitment by the club has certainly left me underwhelmed.

How on earth do you come to that conclusion! You may well make the top 5 but by god there is some fierce competition from 1 -8 imho so if you do make it you will have plenty of hassle! Only London look unlikely to trouble the top five, even Salford and HKR have a punchers chance.

It will be a tough year for all IMHO and if you enter the season with that attitude you're just inviting trouble.

I think top 3 is nailed on between Saints, Warrington and Wigan.
London aside I think positions 4-8 are anybody's.

I think Wigan could struggle this season without wane Bateman and Tomkins

He:s entitled to his opinion, but I think he'll be wrong again, he usually is.

Because now that I have put the end of last season behind me and been able to think rationally about it, I still think only 2 or 3 sides have a better squad than us. And last season we spent most of the year in the top 5 despite the injuries and hurdles we faced. I honestly aren't concerned about the way the season ended, we were battered and bruised (mentally as well as physically) and had nothing left to play for. If we have our fair share of injuries I am certain we will make the playoffs. Bookmark it if you want. It's only my opinion.

You are dead right about the competitiveness though. There aren't going to be many easy games this year.
