I'd rather have an attacking option than a 'safe' player. I think I might have been through once or twice this before somewhere.

That's not to say being safe isn't a good thing. Nor is it to say that I'd have someone like Michael Platt in the team. But when it's a choice between a reasonably safe player who offers plenty going forward or a very safe player who offers next to nothing, the RSP wins every time.

FFS. The kick returns will come with time in the position, and not having to do everything in attack. Every other element of his game is ideally suited to full back. Look at the bigger picture, not what has happened in the 2/3 games he has played half FB and half SO.

When another player is playing SO in the attacking structure, Horne will be even more potent hitting the line from deep and backing up any breaks.

Horne can actually catch a Bomb and pick the ball up when rolling on the floor........given time he will be able to join the line and use his running skills to great effect......would like to see us sign a out and out F/B but wont be unhappy with horne at F/B and a new no6.

Who are you refering to there. Horne, Tony, Tansey?

I firmly believe that if he had a full season at FB, we'd wonder why he ever played anywhere else. Provided we had sorted out our attacking structure, of course.

Well you didn't make it very clear, in your post you were talking about Tansey, and Horne has come back after a year out so I would say he has come back recently. As for Tony, he has played 2 games ffs.

Horne is a brilliant fullback. In the two or three games he played there for us, I dont recall him dropping the ball once. Fair enough he may not be the strongest bringing the ball out, but he's more than capable in that position. Imo the only reason he hasn't been a regular there in recent seasons, is due to the fact that we have struggled for halfbacks. I would be more than happy to see him at fullback next season, and tbh I don't really think there is a great need to bring in a 6 (if that was the case) because I think Washbrook and Long would make a great combination.

Not a huge fan of Morris tbh, very hit and miss and not a player I would sign. Horne would be better at 6 with Long at 7 and a new fullback coming in or Tansey at fulback.

If we play Horne at fullback then the one area he has to majorly improve in is his kick returns. Seriously he needs to go forward and not just sidestep on the spot before making 5 yards. His awareness and handling of kicks are very good as his timing when coming into the line. Get his kick returns right and he would do well there but I would rather see him at 6 then Morris.

Unfortunately catching a ball isnt the only requirement of being a fullback. Tony, before his injury problems was absolutely outstanding in that position, keeping a certain mr Briscoe out of the side. The only player Ive seen this season collect a ball from the kick and run full pelt at the opposition is Tony. Collecting a ball on the full, turning slowly and jogging back towards the oncoming defense is not good fullback play. Horne is an outstanding six and should stay there. Him and long will be superb together.

Going to back to Hull signing John Morris, I know how inconsistant he is and hasn't got the best kicking game. But if it meant Horne been away from the 6 posistion then so be it. As you may have seen me already post earlier on different threads. I for one don't rate Horne that much as been a creative play nor do I as a fb. He's not someone who will win you games and isn't anything more than average. He's only at Hull still because he's a local lad.
I don't expect him to be released at all seeing as he seems to be 'Mr Hull FC'.
