Based on his admittedly few efforts there last year I would hope not. Would rather see Whiting or even Nicklas there.

I would play Niklas in the 2 friendlies, if he impresses throw him in the dobbins game.

I'm pretty sure Niklas will play a bigger part in the friendlies, but I seriously doubt Agar will put him straight in the deep end by starting the new campaign with a player who hasn't started a SL game before. If he really impresses in the friendlies he may get his chance, though.

Nicklas has to play in the friendlies. That for me is what they should be used for along with fitness.

I'd be happy to see Nicklas and Long in the halves for the friendlies and the Rovers game. To some extent it would be nice if Agar said to Nicklas that he would be the 6 til Horne gets fit or til we make a signing. Take the pressure off him. Turner isnt a 6. Whiting could play 6 with Turner centre but i'd rather Whiting have a run in one position all season, as people keep saying his a victim of his versatility.

As Washy now has no chance of playing his best position of 13 we're fairly lucky Berro has left us needing a new hooker and Washy needing to step in. Keeps him away from 6 anyway!!

I would agree regarding Nicklas, he needs some gametime. Agar must rate him rather than trying to sing players like Briggs so he should be given a shot. If not then I would play Whiting there with Turner in the centres.

Agree on all counts there BDT. Keep Whiting at centre and give Nicklas his chance, at least until/if we sign someone else. I'm still pretty confident there will be a signing before we start.

Your not wrong there, why buy in players that are no better than what we have already in Nicks, the lad has a huge future but needs game time but cant see that in first few games TBH

I'd love there to be. Sammut still would be my choice at the minute. No time lost to get him his visa and he plays 6 and 1. I'd agree if the HDM reports are correct that we've gone back and tabled a 2nd bid.
