I'm talking primarily about this, blocking a right of way that is land that is public, one can openly walk around the stadia at any time, so blocking a way that has being used for years cannot be stopped up temporary or otherwise without an order. Uou should know this as it's common knowledge.
Which Queen's council did they seek? I refer to gumption because the council have always being very reticent to act. Haven't they at this moment allowed SMC to dictate matters on land that doesn't even belong to them and has no backing by organisations to suggest leaving the way open has any bearing on safety of the stadia with respect to terrorism?

The contract was looked at again over the debacle in the airco arena, the Bridge was part of the stadium development and falls under the SMC, a contract negotiated as I said by the Lib Dem’s under Simone Butterworth, it is not a public right of way, its land purchased by the council as part of the development and the SMC manage it, this was tested in court with regards to the contract and we lost!

You know as well as I do, it’s the Allams doing anything they can to upset the people of Hull, they believe that they can do what they want because they have money, people need to remember that if we had given them the Stadium they would have binned F.C., as it is the contract stops that, if they had taken ownership there would be no SMC contract.

On the planning front, they did originally put in for planning but the recommendation was to refuse, so they withdrew it and built it anyway saying they didn’t need permission, we received a letter from them saying they will vigorously defend their right to build it through the courts if we take planning enforcement.

Another boot in for the people of Hull. I've just come back from Hull Fair, every year since the stadium opened we have parked there with a blue badge for free, usually blue badge holders were allowed around the stadium bowl like at matches. Tonight we now have to pay £5 and park in the South Car Park with everyone else. Now before certain people kick off about how disabled people aren't exempt from charges, I absolutely agree, as its not about paying its about being able to park close to where I need to be, what I don't agree with is a fee charged this year when I'm not getting any closer than I did every other year without charge. Even the stewards weren't happy as they were getting complaints from a lot of disabled motorists and advised us to complain. I think I can take a guess as to who has moved the goal posts this year to make as much money as they can, but not advertised it anywhere.

If they are that desperate for money then you have to really pity them, I really can't imagine how sad, empty and pathetic the Allam's lives must be for them to be as petty as they are.

Can you imagine the planning warfare that would have ensued had the council gifted them the whole thing as many advocated?

You've more chance of being killed by a motorist in the UK many times over than you have of being killed by a terrorist, this is a fact. Indeed terrorist acts have being meted out by using motorvehicle a few times so why aren't the SMC blocking access to the stadium all all times for ANY motorvehicle given the high risk of death by such and potential terrorist attack?
Basically they've concocted some BS not backed up by any agency that deals with these matters because said agencies wouldn't say its closure negates a terrorist attack and the council are yet again shown to be weak as feck, incapable of being effective representatives of the people and not giving good value, not by a long chalk.

folk were hoping that 2017 would be a real cornerstone for the city and help build on what has being a very good year but a bit of tinsel and window dressing is no good for rebuilding the future, if the handling of the stadium and indeed many other aspects I see and experience for myself and hear about when i come back to my home city then KuH isn't going to flourish in the way people would have envisaged.

Oh dear. Well if there’s any slight legal possibility of that I think we know what the outcome would be.

What has permeated through the various and many discussions about this over the years is that perhaps they can't kick us out at that point because we have some protection for the second 25 years of our lease as the tenant, but they can at that point review our terms and conditions and perhaps impose different ones on us, which could make our tenure extremely difficult if not impossible.

I know originally we would have recourse to the Council in such circumstances but the SMC's lease seems now to be so water tight as far as the councils lack of input is concerned (probably because the authorities fears of having to maintain the place and the revenue costs that would accrue on them has seen them sign away any control, in exchange for the responsibility for maintenance shifting to the SMC re what happened with the arena) that I think that the existence of our club is under threat at that point myself.

Its a worry but hopefully Allam will have croaked it by then. Does anyone know if the running of the SMC itself up for re-negotiation at this point?
