City were given over 32000 for the semi, unless your a pass holder, been to some city games this season or attended yesterdays game the chances of getting a ticket are slim for people who want to go without being to a city game this season.

Always less of an allocation for the final. Shame it clashes with our game, ah well.

It's been this way for ever - I know of people who go to the cup final every year to attend their only match of the season.

There is a possibility that the Hull Derby at the Magic Weekend will be switched with one of the other games, probably the Widnes V Salford one after Sundays result to avoid a clash with the FA Cup final.

The rfl have confirmed the game will not be moved!


So much for a forward thinking organisation, as some fans have posted, they may stay in pubs or at home and watch the final, regardless if they have bought tickets

If you support Hull & City and you can get a ticket for the FA cup final but would rather watch fc v kr let me know and I'll buy the ticket from you at way above ticket price.

That’s surprising, I know Sky were amenable to the change. Though I can understand the RFL’s reasoning, m not sure how much difference it would make to fans of other clubs.

To be honest I can understand the RFL's view, if they swapped the Hull Derby and Salford-Widnes, all that would happen is several thousand Hull fans would decamp to the nearest big screen or pub on the final hooter, watch the FACup final then return for Wigan-Leeds or go home (depending on who's lost!)

so you'd end up with an even emptier than usual stadium at 5pm, instead of the crowd growing to a climax for the Wigan-Leeds game.

Leeds n Wigan go to 5 and we kick off at 715 should`nt be a problem should it? I mean with them two being the biggest supported clubs with fans that love the league game then they are all gonna be in the ground anyway, are`nt they?????

Quite a few fans booked train tickets though, I know of about 15 leaving Manchester around 8.

Why would the RFL let teams/fans of other clubs down who have already made arrangements about their own fixtures just so that Hull/Hull KR fans can watch the soccer FA cup final ? They would have been wrong to do that and it's right that they haven't. Circumstances that couldn't have been predicted have arisen and people in Hull have a clear choice as to how they deal with that.

You're probably right, but I can't image there will be many Widnes and Salford supporters committed to travel arrangements for their 14:45 kick off.
And if they've booked hotels it won't make a scrap of difference.
And it's nearly five weeks away. City have effectively given Arsenal a weeks notice of a change of day.
It's the Hull and Rovers supporters who would be more inconvenienced, but I thought the whole idea was to go and see all the games (in one day at least), so what's the problem?

If I was in charge of the RFL for a day (there's an idea for a new topic) I'd scrap the Magic Weekend (for ever).

At the end of the day the RFL has treated the supporters from the city of Hull with contempt again, like when they had fans facing the longest journey having to watch the last game on a Sunday at Cardiff. Of course you couldn't have predicted City would get to the Cup Final as they have a 100 years of not doing that but the improbable has happened. I'm sure the empty spaces at the Etihad will look brilliant and provide great PR for Super League - the clowns at the RFL do know which clubs buy the most tickets for the Magic weekend don't they?

The only positive might be that this farce will kill off this unnecessary weekend.
