They actually went a few steps further and actually played for Tonga! Perhaps they may qualify for the super-duper-extra-special dispensation the RFL are thinking of bringing in.

Im sorry but if thats true its so stupid by the RFL they will signing there own death warrent every club in Sl will ask for that. Us personally will get 2 off the quota and from now on every single tongan that is signed shouldent count on the quota.

Wont just be Tonga either. All south sea islanders will have claim for the same dispensation. It's a joke even having a quota the way it's applied. (same as the salary cap)

Correct. It's ridiculous that Tongans might be outside the rules now. What a feck-up. Complete mockery of the commitment signed by the chairmen of all clubs at the meeting in Perpignan in 2007 to actively [uclose[/u the loopholes and get down to 5 overseas players by 2011.
