Laughable that the club thought it was saving money cutting free breakfasts (with a kitchen on site at the Uni the cost of that would have been peanuts) while continuing to hire and fire unsuitable overseas players on big salaries.

I've said it before and I say it again Pearson needs to go, he's led this club into disarray. It'll be a waste of Thirkhills cash if he's the one spending it. Better sports CEO's out there for what would be a big salary.

Nobody sensible would as even the 'sucessful' clubs like Saints are losing cash. But Thirkhill says he has been watching the game since 1968 so like most of us has got bitten by the bug. And given there seems to be little to no chance of ever buying the Rhinos maybe realises it's a rare chance to own a club

Which doesn't surprise me, a buyer is buying a brand name, an SL licence, a short lease in a stadium a bit of shop stock and a lease on a training building.

On the positive side it shouldn't take much cash to turn things around, it's a salary cap sport (with marquee exemptions) and aside from offering to contribute to some new TVs for the MKM to tick an IMG box I can't see massive amounts of spend required it just needs to be spent better than it has been the last 6 years.

Well this (should) be the week where things become a whole lot clearer regarding investors and the direction the club is heading, it certainly feels a long time coming since AP's radio interview in April.

If the forum is in Wednesday, I’d hope there is an announcement either today or tomorrow confirming the investment.

As the recent article says about the state of affairs behind the scenes, in isolation things like a lack of providing breakfast may seem like minor things that the players and the club have to cope with and learn to deal with and hardly seem like the end of the world but when it's just one of many things that the club have cut back on then it all contributes to creating what has clearly become a systemic problem at the club. It makes us seem amateurish and it's not surprising that we have slumped as we have when stuff like this is revealed. We bemoan the players and the coaches and whilst they are not blameless, you have to feel that a lot of this has been out of their hands.

It's pleasing to note that the club are addressing all areas and not just what might be considered a big issue but the smaller things as well to create a more professional environment.

If there's any news Pearson will be itching to press the release button before the forum, questions would go from hostile to positive in an instant!

A lot of Hull fans seem to be jumping the gun yet again on social media and getting giddy that the ‘dark days’ are behind us and that we are ready to take on the world and splash loads of cash.

Does anyone actually have any idea of what’s going on? I’ve spoke to a couple of people with big connections at the club and they’ve not given anything away, if they do know people are staying tight lipped. Any cash boost will be welcome news but you’d think any ‘investors’ are going to want to see a return and there’s no way that will happen if you want to spend the amount of money the likes of Wigan, Rovers and Warrington throw about.

Fragile mindset? Have you ever worked away from home? Not everyone takes to it. I did plenty working in the construction industry. it’s not easy leaving your family for any length of time, never mind missing FC games.
