Funny enough that version of events was only relayed to me a couple of weeks ago by the dobbins fan. Wasn't really sure what to make of it, but had no reason not to believe him at the time. He was also given only half a season, Agar had over 3.

Yes all is correct, not sure the players (and fans) really wanted him.

He certainly was an awful coach for Hull, but he never had the resources or money that Agar had, who inherited a decent squad a club that operated at full salary cap and had money for player transfers.
