He probably thinks he has got a better chance of getting paid at Hull aswell.

Thats true. Playing in front of bigger crowds etc probably make the move quite appealing to a kid who aims to be back in Aus as soon as anyway!

The rumours are saying someone from Oz who played in Oz last year. Dont think Sammut is the player. Leeds have had a look at him though.

the only thing is if Crusaders agree to let Sammut go then they find themselves in the same boat as Hull are in now, needing a new H/B with not much time to get one.

Although to be fair, when Longy was in his prime, he was a nightmare off the filed. Poor trainers will always be forgiven if their on field performances are excellent. It's the players that play poorly and train badly that we don't want!

Great news if true IMO, would be the answer to our half covering needs and prevent other players playing in unfamiliar positions just to make do. Paying a transfer fee for a 1 year deal is not desperate at all, it's doing what you need to do to give the team the best chance of winning. That's what it's all about, isn't it?
