Still the rumour of briscoe going to Salford seems to be wrong tho. And it's all quiet on the Leeds board now too. The only other place I can think of is either Wigan or yawnion. Just guesses there as iv heard nothing about him of late. Be a shame to replace him with crookes tho if that's true. Nothing against the guy he's just nowhere near briscoe a potential and don't think he ever will be.

Yeah he's only 23 and yes his form has dropped since he wanted to move but even then he's still one of the best wingers in super league and on form probably one of the best in the world. He will be a huge loss and I'd hope FC have done everything in there power to keep hold of him even if it is to spend a chunk of the salary cap on him. I also agree that if the money had been spent on Thompson then our recruitment is a laughing stock.

I highly doubt his wage has just been allocated to Thompson, seeing as back when Briscoe's deadline passed the rumour was it was to do with how much we were offering Paea.

They did. They made him a vastly improved offer but told him there was a cut off date for accepting it because we needed to plan our recruitment for next season. He didn't accept it in time because he was holding out for an NRL deal, which never materialised probably due to his indifferent form this year.

Possibly he was badly advised by his agent but whatever happened he's leaving and we need to plan for life without him.

I understand he had a provisional offer from Crunulla but when they doping issue raised its head at Crunulla they were forced to retract that offer.

Personally I feel a bit sorry for Tom. He wanted to better himself in a better competition and its fallen through.

A bit early to feel sorry for him. For all we know (and there'll be plenty on here who think they do know) he's already got himself a good deal elsewhere. One thing for sure is that he will be missed.

I was told several months ago that His NRL deal fell through after the club's deadline and consequently he accepted a deal at Leeds on less money than he is currently on here. Make of that what you will.
