The only workable scheme would involved FC teaming up with a credit company, who would then want to make a profit from the scheme, which FC would then get criticised for.

I am one of FC's biggest critics, but there is no way they can make season passes etc. any more accessible than they already do.

so basically your saying people like me are fooked then and its tough. well fc will NOT be getting my cash for a season ticket for many years as i simply dont have disposable cash to splash out on a season pass. my family, bills etc come first so all the time my circumstances are the same, like many many people, there is simply no way i can get one m

0% credit card? (pay it off over 9 months), there are plenty of ways. Unless of course you don't have a credit rating sufficient to get said card, in which case, why should the club see you as a better risk than a credit card company?

Or the savings stamp scheme which is currently run, £20/month will get you a new pass over the course of a year.

why would i want to get into debt with credit cards? i had them before and paid them off. swore i never would again so what the point in getting one to get in recorded debt again?

How do they block the pass? When you've got thousands of folk going through the turnstiles on matchday, do you really think that the turnstile operators are going to have time to check every voucher to see if it's been banned?

which we, as the buyers, would pick up. Listen the point is there are options and i, for one, would not mind paying extra to get one as so that the club can give the directors more yatchs and houses...i dont really care. I just want them to realise the potential of further options thats all

I believe the club are to introduce a direct debit scheme this closed season which might help. On the general principle I see your point and have sympathy with a lot of folks who are finding it tough to get passes, however it did state that when you buy one you get benifits so I guess this is one of them!

and as i said i dont begrudge season pass holders getting little extras i just want the chance to be a pass holder

Wouldn't it be much easier for the club to throw the occassional player event where you can just buy tickets?

Either that or maybe have some sort of loyalty card (for a fee) that gives you entrance to passholder events, discount at the shop and 2nd level priority for cup tickets (next in line behind passholders).

Personally I don't have a problem with passholders getting special treatment. They provide guaranteed revenue to the club at the start of every season.

I've got loads of ideas for both fan appreciation and also bringing in new/occassional fans (mostly half-inched from the numberous Torotno-based sports franchises I frequent).

You wouldn't believe how popular the $1 hot dog nights are here.

I went to the last one and I'd say it almost doubled the attendance. They had reduced ticket prices also by a few dollars, but the amount of extra seats sold and all the extra food/drink sold will have far outweighed that small discount.

Hopefully then the product on the field is enough to entice a few back. I appreciate that now may not be the right time for FC to put on something like this given the dire stuff we've been churning out. I also appreciate that the quality of the food would have to improve to make it appealing.



Giveaway games are also popular (hats, bags, t-shirts, bobbleheads) and the costs can be covered (or shared) through having the items provided by sponsors.

pass on any ideas to the club they are greatfull for them, i told em to do a fans tug of war or something and to do more face in the crowd pictures. Also said to try to do more things for kids, pictures to print out ond colour in, and other things on the website.

Silly ideas but ideas all the same, generate interest is the main thing. Especially for kids as they are the future supporters!
