11,000 at the KC looks a bit sp

If KC Stadium only held 11,000 Hull would have struggled with The Rovers games Leeds ,and a lot of other games No matter were you sit in the KC Stadium you get a good all round view .We are lucky that we have a fantastic Stadium

We are. I still remember walking in for our first game and being gobsmacked that we were actually going to be playing our games here.

Our first SL game was a nightmare! Cold and a defeat to London! I do miss the games in the sunshine where we used to hammer Leigh and Widnes!

Although I know where you are coming from, I would say a capacity of 20k would be perfect for Hull FC. It's only a couple of season ago we averaged 14k. As has been mentioned if we do get a title challenging side, having 14-15k home base of fans is not beyond reason.

Whatever, I am glad we use the KC. The Boulevard was 10 years passed it's best and was restricting the club going forward with is limited capacity and expensive maintenance requirements.

For the likes of Wakefield, Cas and Salford 14-15,000 is fine*. For Hull and Saints it's not. We've had ten attendances over 14,500 over the last four years despite having very average seasons.

I think with the derbies getting 20k plus attendances the KC capacity is bang on for yourselves. It's also given the City a cracking chance to host some of the international matches that we may otherwise not have had in the city. A Hull FC side playing at the right end of the table have proven they'll attract 15k+ home supporters.

I agree Easty, the city would have missed out on some of the RL internationals, Football U21 Internationals etc if it was just 20K.

I also think the KC's clever design with the West Stand having an upper tier that can be closed for rugby helps the atmosphere. A single tier ground with bigger stands would have made the place look empty for RL games.

Clubs can put in requests for certain fixtures but the RFL do not actively (and never have) directly asked clubs if they would like a specific opponent for any given fixture.

That we had played Halifax in the cup attracting 15k prior to SL starting, it rendered it largely irrelevant.

Plummer and Kath were asked on RH and that is what they said.

I was really annoyed with this, I was living overseas at the time and had planned trips (at great expense!) for the last game at the Boulevard and the first game at the KC, at the time I booked flights that was London. I suppose the club couldn't ask for away cup draws but the London game ended up being meaning less.

Didn't rovers request for the top 8 teams at home towards the back end of the season ready for the new stand?

The head of operations at the RFL would beg to differ.

The RFL have never asked any club a preference of oposition. They have an open offer for requests which is allowable for any club.

Also of which is irrelevant as the first RL game at the KC was against Halifax in the cup.
