At least one Wakey supporter has confidence we'll be turned over. Reckons we were crap on Easter Monday but they were a little crapper

| Just listened and while Bacon's very flippant and a little patronising, its not that bad. I guess if I'd listened live I might have been more annoyed though. He won't be doing it again...

| If we don't beat wakey then there's no point being in the cup anyway. Our reserves beat them at a canter away 4 days after a derby so shouldn't pose us any problems. They've only won one in the last 7 or 8 games haven't they?

| I heard the draw live and cringed, I almost yearned for a return to 30 years ago on Look North with David Oxley smiling every time Leeds were drawn at home to Batley.
At least the draw stood and I'm happy with Wakefield at home.
The other good news is that Rovers have just received planning permission to extend their scoreboard ahead of their cup game with Wigan!

| About as good as it gets if we're to play a SL team. wakefield have won one of their last 8 SL games (V Cas) plus managed to scrape a draw at home against Salford. Should be an easy route into the last 8 and hopefully we can get Halifax at home

| Well done Radio2 for restoring a bit of faith in BBC and RL - great few minutes there about the RLWC, 5 live would do well to take a leaf out of your book.

5 live treat RL like dirt and always have done. It's a massive inconvenience for them to have to read out the SL results on the Sunday evening sports news bulletins - always the very last thing mentioned and regularly incomplete. It's a disgrace but the RL do nothing to help themselves by their own incompetence. Maybe it's something Barwick could take up with some of his chums as I'm not sure what else he's there for.

HULL FC 30-32 WAKEFIELD TRINITY WILDCATS
Sunday, 10 June 2012
Hull FC found themselves on the end of a remarkable fight back from Wakefield Wildcats as they fell to a narrow 32-30 defeat at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium.
In an exciting first half the Black and Whites took control through Willie Manu, Brett Seymour and Ben Crooks, but the Wildcats ensured they would remain in the game at the break responding with two of their own through Dean Collis and Peter Fox.
Hull looked to still be in the driving seat midway through the second period after a brace from returning centre Kirk Yeaman, but a stunning second half spell from the hosts turned the game on its head.
Paul Sykes first crossed before Danny Washbrook followed suit against his former club, with Kyle Amor’s 61st minute try really making a game of it.
Both sides continued to fight desperately for the next score before Ali Lauititi finally rounded off a remarkable fight back as he completed a fine move with just nine minutes to play and Hull had nothing left in the tank to find any response before the hooter sounded.

You mean the side that got you into 8th, compared with the current side that is 11th?
Basically, you're that desperate to show us all that Wakefield are a good team that you're forgetting current form (including a loss to a severely weakened and demoralised Hull side on Easter Monday) and have to harp back to a last minute 2 point victory a year ago. You'll be telling us about the play-off win in 2003 next!

Quote ="Billy Batten"I have made my complaint on the BBC website - address below;
www.bbc.co.uk/complaints/complain-online/
Body of complaint;
Good Afternoon,
I am appalled by the way in which the draw for the 5th round of the rugby league challenge cup draw was handled today.
Richard Bacon clearly saw this as a opportunity to mock what is the premier club rugby league cup competition in the world.
He was disgraceful stating that it would be of no interest to anyone other than RL fans. He also stated that the rugby payers which stand proud on the lid of the cup which was in the studio were effeminate....
There was a mockery of the draw itself and the presenters were unable to put 2 teams together without messing this up and we were luck to end up with the required 8 matches following this without having to have a re draw.
The BBC have the rights to present the challenge cup so they should pay it the respect required and not have it take place on a 2 bit show such as Richard Bacon's, who was more bothered about the sewing item which was to follow the draw....
Would all of the above have happened for the FA cup draw... I think not.
The BBC need to take a good look at themselves regarding this issue and Bacon needs a dressing down for this. An apology from Bacon is the least that can happen.
I hope you take this complaint as seriously as I am and I look forward to hearing your reply.'"
Received this reply today;
Dear Mr
Reference CAS-2067566-HYDS50
Many thanks for getting in touch about Richard Bacon’s BBC Radio 5 Live programme on Monday 22nd April which including the live draw for the Tetley's Challenge Cup 2013 fifth round
Recognising your concerns and unhappiness about the draw, we reviewed the programme and discussed points raised by listeners with the station’s senior editorial team
The team have asked us to personally thank you for getting in touch and to assure you that BBC Radio 5 Live and sister station BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra are absolutely committed to coverage of Rugby League
They explain that thus far in 2013, the stations have broadcast some 36 hours of live coverage of the sport and that they’ve secured the rights to broadcast this year’s World Cup with an aim to offer live coverage of all 28 matches
BBC Radio 5 Live’s commitment to the sport was further demonstrated by their desire to undertake the Challenge Cup fifth round draw live on air from our Salford studios on Monday
However, the team responsible do acknowledge in light of your points that they didn’t get the tone of the draw right on air
The team have discussed this with Richard Bacon himself along with his production team and Richard acknowledges that he got the tone wrong thus he apologises to listeners as he genuinely didn’t mean to upset any Rugby League fans
Thank you again for getting in touch and allowing us to investigate your concerns with the team directly involved, and to respond.
We very much hope that you will feel reassured as to the BBC’s on-going commitment to Rugby League across BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra, and that you will agree that we have taken your points on board.
Kind Regards
Marie-Therese Gibson
