Good point to be fair, about half the page is stickys at the moment, it is a bit annoying having to scroll so far down the page.

Yes, I have to 'fully' bend my digitus secundus to scroll down past the sticky's, instead of only half a bend.

Three or four of the stickies will be gone within a week or so and we will be back to normal. I hate too many tbh.

ON FCVoices I actually couldn't agree with Standee more!! They are irrelevant and are just kept at arms length by the club. Not having a go at individuals involved just my opinion.

Like I said to Standee, how do you know??? If you think we are irrelevant why don't you fill the empty vacancy and change things instead of speculating on how relevant/irrelevant we actually are?

If you were relevant it would be well known. Fans would understand and see the results you get. The club pay lip service to Voices.

Of course this is all my opinion. I live out of town so no point me joining. I'm not having a go as such, just merely stating my opinion.

FCVoices looks to me (possibly in my ignorance) to be part information conduit, part focus group - a club entity involving fans, rather than an independent body that might challenge the club more robustly. Sometimes there's no need to fight and a chat will do the job. Where it won't, FCvoices maybe isn't much use, but to me that is a bit like criticising your scissors for being no good as a hammer.

None of us are self serving, blow our own trumpet kind of people. Do you really want to know that I was in touch with the club regarding disabled seating arrangements for the Magic Weekend because someone got in touch with me and asked if I could find out for them or what plans were are organising for the heritage weekend?? Or, would you prefer it if I did post every single query, question, answer? We don't do it for glory, or thanks, unlike the originator of this post asking if the club would thank him for his efforts in the JW picturegate scandal.

There are other opposite opinions, and there are some who find them to be relevant, and have benefited by their presence.

What harm is done by having the occasional sticky, giving information for anyone who may be interested?

To be honest, the vacancy is for an out of towner, the last out of town member moved even further South to London so found it increasingly difficult to get to Saturday meetings. Thought you may have known that, seeing as you were such an expert at what we do and what we are about

Maybe he was stating that you're irrelevant to him? As I said earlier, you don't do anything that somebody couldn't do themselves. You're set up by the club to address specific issues that minority fans have and are a direct link for them fans, you do this very well and I don't have any problem with that.

But let's get it straight, you're not representative of the total fan base. You do what you do very well, and I'm not sure i understand Standee's problem.

Actually we were not set up by the club at all. A group of fans set up themselves after the sacking of John Kear and they approached the club with their intentions.

Yes, fans can do what we do themselves but people tend to think along the lines of support in numbers, if you know what I mean?

No, we don't represent every single fan granted, but we are a fair representation of fans from all walks and areas of life, we are only missing an out of towner and I've so far invited two known out of towners on this thread to come and join us to no avail



Standees problem is that there wasn't anything to moan about today so he looked through the page and decided Voices would be fair game for todays irrational rant.

How are you defining relevance?

This is pretty much my view also. People criticise Voices for not being 'relevant' but often fail to give examples of what they'd like them to do that they don't do now.

I'd suggest the fans that contact Voices, and do get results/answers don't consider us to be irrelevant, Not having a go at you, but merely stating my opinion.

Just read the post .The man has start something get posters going then he does a runner . Let's be honest, fc voices was set up by the last board so they could pretend that they listened to the fans and that our views were important. Maybe the members could post the top 20 things they've achieved with the club in the last 5 or so years that they've been in existence.

Also, weren't the minutes of their meetings supposed to be made public? Can't say I've seen more than 2 or 3 in the public domain (If they're on facebook or some other juvenile social media platform then they're not accessible to us who are no longer teenagers)

IMO, they're completely irrelevant but I'm sure they enjoy their regular sit downs with the club
