I think the good friday aside, Reynolds has done 'okay' every time he's played this year, but I understand the frustration that a player of his calibre/cap spend should be putting in more than just 6/10's most weeks. I think these next two games could be vital to if he is to have a future at Hull in 2023.

I think about from effort he has been really poor, his kicking, running, passing and defence has not been good enough.

He really needs to step up, but feel he has had too many injuries and his
body can't do it anymore.

He was ill for 3 days before the derby, and missed the Warrington game because he was still suffering.

Exactly this, if it was Connor or one of our better players, buy Reynolds has been poor and add in am illness, silly to play him.

Like the look of that. If Hookem starts Reynolds with his experience should play alongside him. It would also give the opportunity to start Lovodua in his favoured position. Looking forward to this one.

Seems strange to recall Hookem to not play him - to sit in the stand rather than starting for Whitehaven. He must be in the 17

Catalans would be a rough first game for a youngster but then again he played in the West Cumbria derby last week so maybe this will be less intense.

It could be that the plan is to play him against Toulouse next week and he is in the squad today as part of the preparation.

Whitehaven have named Hookem in their squad too. The plot thickens.

Although Litten took the plaudits in their victory over Workington in the Easter derby it appears Hookem had a decent game as hooker, a position he has been regularly training in with Hull fc before his recent injury spell on the side lines.

They're playing at York on Sunday afternoon, so he'll probably play both games.
