However it is a myth to suggest, as some have on here, that the dobbins were dominant and should have won by a large margin.

Forget about them, at least you gave them a mention! Westerman practically played an off half game for 80 mins but to be honest he maybe had to, Rankin has a good running game but offers little else and only god knows why and how Miller gets a run out!!!

rovers created more, primarilly down to having better field position due to us giving away stupid penalties. They were definitely better than us on the night but, as I said last night, no way were we dominated and it isn't an excuse for the poor half back play

Westerman does so much with ball in hand to drag our halfbacks out no matter what the combination..until we get a SH who can organize & kick & tackle we will always come up just short.

When Carvell and Paea came back for their 2nd spell Sandercock brought Costigan and Poore on who kept them quiet. That and we kept the ball well at that time.

You didn't watch the game then? You should watch some of your lads wincing when Ellis hit them. Subdued in attack a little but the team was rubbish in general. Also your forwards really wasn't dominant. Stats back that up too. Ours were well under par to. Poore all action, doesn't do much damage though. Weyman by far your best. Cox best I've seen him. Swear I saw Wayman give a lesson in front row play last night and our young forwards outplayed yours. Bowden excepted.
Wayman Poore and Larroyer missed ONE tackle between them all game. Carvell missed 4. Defence is part of the game you know.
Miller made 9 tackles....missed 5. Shat himself all night.

Ellis is a monster in defence but maybe thats damaging his attack he always looked a handful when watching him in n.r.l defo wouldnt say he doesnt turn up for you guys, some of Houghtons passing from dummy half was awful was worried every time Watts bent the line was always looking to offload sometimes his hands were free and no hooker/half following him around looking for it

Ellis is fantastic in defence and puts everything into tackle, his facial impressions when doing so do have me giggling though, im glad im not on the receiving end of his hits.
