I think the player concerned was Garry Pearce. To be fair, schofield being a GB player and at the time probably the best player we had, he had point. Pearce had never played league and was being paid a premium but that was the trend at that time (taking players from welsh RU)

Unfortunately Schfield went about this in the wrong way. He should never have refused to play as, IMO, that's the sign of a poor professional.

When he played against us, I used to give him both barrels. Now he poses no threat to Hull FC I actually feel I find his comments a little sad. He makes outlandish statements to try and carve out a media career. He is a modern day Alex Murphy (who Used to have a tabloid column called Murphy the Mouth). Unsurprisingly no one took notice of that either.

Read the said article in LE and he gets so many things wrong its unrea...basically he is a bellend.

Schoey's toys have come out of the pram big style. Pearson can't handle the pressure, has made a series of disastrous decisions and appointments while his attack on Schofield is, in fact, an attack on every single FC fan. McRae's useless, your recruitment's been a joke and maybe it's time for Pearson to step down. Why, he even spelt Schofield's name wrongly in the programme notes!

In Fairness I have heard his version of it myself plus Len Caseys who was Coach at the time, Lee Crook's and a couple of members of our Boards too and most do vary considerably from Schoeys.

This was all happening in June 87 when GS was playing in Australia we signed Gale in August and he made his debut in October. Straight after Shoey said he wanted to go we signed Hussain M'Baki, and then John Carroll from Batley and a great aquisition was Paul Fletcher from Salford for whom we paid a small fee. Fact remains that he has never done anything to endear himself to the Hull Crowd since and has indeed slagged us off at every opportunity. Now he's trying to take the moral high ground and saying that Thousands of us are having a go at the Club and Pearson and he's one of us. If you look closely at what he says in LE most of it is inacurrate and he calls the present state of the Club a shambles, which believe me if he'd seen what went on back office in Kaths day is a complete fabrication.

I guess at the end of the day what gauls me is this when we were doing well a few years ago he was critical of us but now we have hit a bumpy patch he is aligning himself with the fans against the Club, he's no friend of ours and just hops onto any opportunity to bash the Club.

Didn't Schofield go on strike for a couple of months, refusing to play for Hull until he got his own way?

I sometimes read the opinion pieces in the HDM from our other Judas and he seems to conduct himself in a professional manner when commenting on the club. Schofield just comes across as bitter.

Absolutely, for all that went on at the time of his departure, he always gives a very considered opinion of both us and KR in his weekly column. I've more respect for him than for Schofield who comes across as a bitter, twisted indiviidual.

Im sure Adam will take advice on how to run a business from Schoey.

What you've got to understand is that its just his opinion. All you need to do his give him the same amount of time and credibility as you do rovers supporters who troll these boards looking for a bite.
