In all seriousness, I have loved every minute of the games and will be gutted when they finish. I've taken time off work so I could watch as much of London 2012 as possible and I have been awe struck with the efforts of our athletes and competitors. When the games rap up this Sunday I will be at a loss for the coming days as I will have nowt decent on telly to watch (apart from RL & general sport), London 2012 has been a magnificent spectacle which has filled me with pride and I've also, and I don't mind admitting having a tear in my eye on many occasion. I have lots of memories so far and will watch the remainder of the games with relish.

I danced in the Olympic Park last Saturday after Jess, Greg and Mo, and have been on the verge of blubbing with joy more times than I'd care to admit.

The Olympics have been nothing short of amazing. They truly reflect what sport is all about and what sporting achievement means. In my opinion (as much as i love football) it has put the overpaid, over marketed fantasy world of professional football well and truly in the shade and for the right reasons!!

I never managed to get there unfortunately so I've watched it all on the telly. My step lad is in the services and has been based in Weymouth on security duties and he's just had a weekend off and the photos on his phone are amazing. He was with the sailors and Yachtsmen (and women) and he has searched Ben Ainsley four times!

The games have been amazing, really like the open water swim today and the triathlon was amazing to watch. (Brownlee would have only been 1.20min behind Mo and wouldn't have come last in the 10,000m).

Im a cyclist and loved watching Wiggins reinforce his immortality but have watched everything pretty much.

Ainslies anger and then pure class made even the sailing an amazing spectcle.

Watching our windsurfer put his silver medal around his 4 yr old sons neck after promising him he'd win him a medal brought a tear to my eye.

With it being this amazing, I'm surprised 8 competitors have decided to go "missing"!

I started this thread and am happy with what has been said - a great time has been had at the Olympics and most people are not stuck in the 'I only love RL mode'

Apart from the sat night when the 3 athletics golds went in AFTER we had won 3 in the morning (but seems to be have been forgotten) its pretty much been buisness as normal with the athletics.I do admit to preferring the Rowing and the cycling and strangely enjoyed the dressage..such skill and precsicion

Yorkshire has won more golds than the convicts put together and they won 1 when that fat-ar$ed bitch cheated in the cycling.

It's all been class, I've loved watching all the sports everyday. I think the BBC have given great coverage of it all, too.

But the Athletics have not dominated - the athletics are not dominating - Swimming, cycling, Rowing, Equestian were in there before athletics - It has been a great occasion for all sports - We should wish that Athletics dominated. Well done to Women Boxers, Tae Q Doe, Judo, etc
