I agree Ablett shouldn't be centre but some second rowers can slot into that position depending if their agile and strong defensively. The only thing Ablett knows is to give facials and be a dirty player. Starting to dislike him more than Bailey!! As for a 6 playing 7, that's not out of the ordinary. They have identical roles and a 13 playing 6 isn't to bad. Whiting played 6 didn't he? Is Gentle a bell end? I agree that there are a few dodgy selections but I wouldn't call him to much for playing people in differen positions (apart from Ablett).

Well done Ticks for playing. As for Briscoe, not surprised as he has been playing poor. Not as poor as certain Leeds players though. TBF the international game is a joke in regards of England selections. The RFL are a joke and need to take similar approaches to the aussies.

No. Another winger who scores tries because he gets good service in a good team. Hall is proven at both levels.

Terrible Squad.

Not a fan of Hall. He's just strong, no real wow factor. Never seen him have a moment of brilliance (Tom Briscoe against Leeds is a good example of what I mean).

On form alone this season he should be in there, but as Peacock's the captain there was no way he was going to get left out.

As much as Lynch deserves a place, the last thing we need is him tired and/or injured.

I think Briscoe is the only winger England have who is capable of something special. Hall is a very good finisher though, he's not a world beater but he deserves his place.

Charnley on the other hand is an average player in a very good team, any winger could score the tries he has this season given the expansive rugby Wigan play.

Put it this way, Briscoe could have scored the tries Charnley has this season if he had the service but there's no way Charnley could score some of the tries Briscoe has.

Surely the only reason these fixtures exist is to build an international squad for the 2013 World Cup? That being the case, its a complete waste of time picking Peacock, Carvell etc. They are already past it, and will be ready for the retirement home come the end of next season. McBanana is a joke, and a pretty unfunny one at that.

Charnley certainly deserves his selection, and Hall is the best finisher in the game (as proven at Wembley aginst the Aussies last Autumn). Briscoe has more natural talent than either but, lets be honest, his form has dipped a touch compared to 2011, besides, I'm sure his coach is secretly pleased he's not playing. The biggest joke of all has to be Ablett at centre. I think this is a late change based on the dramatic loss of form of Cudjoe, who was appalling against Rovers on Monday night. Goulding would have been the correct call based on current form.
