Lyne will be a good un just needs time and a few more seasons to mature and develop. IMO.

Why is it that young players at Leeds, Wigan and Saints seem to "mature and develop" quicker than at Hull?

Look at some other other young wingers who are playing first grade regularly and well this season:

Foster (Saints) 20
Charnley (Wigan) 19
Hardaker (Leeds) 19

Hardaker is only playing because Leeds have so many injuries but he looks miles ahead of Lyne.

reece is 18 and for me needs a couple more years to bulk up and go and play championsip rugby and he will be a better player for it

Reece is younger than all of those players, as well as the players you mentioned developing in a lower league which is a higher standard than the 20's.

I really dont see the fuss with Foster - fantatic goalkicker which undoubtedly gives him huge confidence in other areas, but other than his round the back finish against Leeds I see little else to get excited about.

I would have a good bet that if Reece went to the Championship on loan he would be ripping it up

Maybe he should be on a dual reg then, instead of playing for the U20's one week and then struggling in the first team the next week?

hardaker the youngest out of them and hes got 14 months on reece,and foster best part of 2 n a half yrs! an amazingly long time at that age! how much physical and game improvement do you think an teenager can make in that amount of time? at the end of the day its 1st team experience! that can only make u better. and as far as being judged on what hes done 1st team wise,if u look at the games he has played hes barely had a pass,never had an attacking kick to chase or go for,or been given a chance to open up! jared hayne could be on that right wing and look average!

If it's the run i remember then Bradford had him covered,and reece knew it so came inside to stop any chance of him being taken out.

That's exactly how I saw it aswell. He did the right thing for me, he'd have been slated if he'd have gone on the outside and got dragged into touch and that was the likely outcome imo.

Ok so maybe I was unfair comparing Reece to those three. So how about comparing him to someone else who was playing on the wing for the first team when he was 18. Tom Briscoe. Where do you think Reece is now compared to Tom at the same age?

Don't get me wrong. I think Reece is a good prospect and [imay[/i well make the grade but if he does I can't see it being for another two years.

Briscoe is the best outside back to come through the club since schofield nearly 30 years ago. Bit unfair to compare lynne to him. How about comparing him to what will sharp was doing at the same age

I agree, at least 2 a year but no matter how much you want it, crooks isn't as good as briscoe was at the same age.

Players develop at different ages and briscoe has freakish strength for someone of his age. crooks will be playing in the centres for the first team within a couple of years. No need to rush the kid. Will be a proud day for his dad when he makes his debut

I can see him and Crooks being ready for regular first team rugby at about the same time. At least I hope they will

Getting my threads mixed up. I doubt lynne will ever be international class but having seen some of the things he's done in the 20's I'm sure he will be a decent SL player. As has been said, 20's rugby is too easy for him and he looks bored of it to me. Needs to play for a championship side and learn his trade

Would be nice if Jack Briscoe comes through too and maybe Tom Lineham (is that how you spell his name?). We'd have a good, young, mainly British three quarter line.
