I'd like to see him get the no.2 job or reserve coach job.

I would give Fitz a deal, I can see what people say about the fact that it sometimes looks like he slows the attacking play down but take him out the side and see how much of miss he is, the guy is fantastic and his workrate is unbelievable, i think some of our supporters actually now take what he does for granted because he's so consistent.

As for long, his injuries worry me. If we can get him on the pitch then he's worth it because even though he's getting on he still as that experience that any team needs but we cannot afford to keep carrying a player who plays less than a 3rd of your games in such an important position.

Not sure I'm keen on having a member of the coaching staff living over in Wigan, it's bad enough having a player based so far away.

Think you are maybe right but he wont be our first choice SH next year he will be on board the training staff.

I think I'd be happy to keep Fitzy, the work he does is tremendous especially in defence. Although it does annoy me when he decides to go first reciever and as soon as he gets the ball our play slows down. We must be one if not the slowest team at spreading the ball out wide.
Look at KR yesterday for Fox's break a couple of long passes quickly and our defence was strecthed, Fox was away.

Fitz maybe, Long deffo no, no. He simply hasn't played anywhere near to what he should do, with the odd exception - yesterday being one of them. I think some are getting a tad over excited with yesterdays performance.

Agree with that, he takes the ball in well no doubt, but does slow the play down and that hospital pass he gave to Gleeson i cringed cos i saw it coming sat in the stand, so easy for Rovers defence to read.

Agree with all of that, but i think we will sign Long on for another year unfortunately.

I also think we'll keep at least one of them, if we do I hope it's as a coaching assistant.

If he'd play prop and do sensible spells he'd be worth an extension but a loose forwarsd he ain't. He definitely slows us down when we're trying to get it wide. Especially when we're not short of loose forward candidates.

That was the only time Rovers broke us out wide and I do think this season we have tried to get it out wide quickly, especially to Yeamo, Manu and Briscoe's wing, with quite a bit of success.

I do agree about Fitz tho, fantastic work rate, but we usually slow down when he takes it first receiver.

Long now out for six games. I know it was an accident but he seems to have lots of these accidents. It would be criminal if we went into next year with the same halfs as this year though i think we'll keep Horne.

Long isnt worth a new deal IMO, would like to see us sign a 7 that is young and will play week in week out, but if theres no body available I reckon Hull will probably offer him a new 1 year deal...
Fitz on the other hand is a freak of nature, i'd love to see him here for another year, what a player.
