i love the old ground. queuing up today i looked around and the whole place is practically unchanged from when i first went in 1979/80 - nowhere left like that in superleague now that saints have moved out of knowsley road

If Hull went out of business tomorrow, Cas would double their attendances overnight because many of us, me included, have always had a "soft spot" or a second team mentality towards Cas.
It works both ways because many Cas fans consider us to be their "second team" and long may it continue !!
Personally, I can't think of a better team/club to have such a relationship with.

Wheldon Road is a delapidated old wreck of a ground. But hey, I don't go to watch the ground, I go to watch the game. And guess what? The atmosphere in that place is fantastic, and it doesn't matter to me how run down the place is, because it's such a great place to experience Rugby League. Be a shame when it has to go.
Incidentally, it's not the worst ground. That honour has to go to Wakefield, a dump with no atmosphere.  |
