Sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong here, but I think this is the first time we've both finished inside the top 8 since 1986.
Also, when was the last time we met in a knockout/winner takes all clash? Seem to remember meeting in the Second Division Premiership in 1997, but if memory serves me right, I think that was a group game based on geographical location and not a straight knockout game as next week will be.

The biggest derby since 1980 and one we'll never hear the end of if we lose again. There'll be bars named after the score and everything. Christmas will be miserable and the off will be eternal until the first game of the season - when we play them again at Cardiff.

First time both have been in the play-offs for the Grand Final and a knock out match to end the season? Still think this is the biggest - certainly feels the most sickworthy to me since 1980. |
