He's defo been offered to us before, I got that first hand from Howes his agent. It wouldn't surprise me TBH, something at Wigan has got to give with the salaries they'll be paying next year. |

yeah because we have signed 3 players, but bailey (one of our top earners) phelps, riddell and feka (another one of our top payed) are all on the way out. as well as possibly coley, fielden and pryce all out. if fielden is signed back up it will be on a much reduced contract, so thats effectively 4 players, plus fielden on reduced terms to bring in 3 players. i would be suprised if we were near the cap next season, there are rumours that we are able to bring another NRL player.
but it was obvious that other teams fans would automatically say we are over the cap as soon as we sign anyone. as i say, it wouldnt suprise me if we had enough cap space left to bring in another player (plus a mid season return for hock). |

The point I am getting accross is not everyone will go somewhere just because there family member played there or is a legend there.
As far as I see it, wigan need a hooker next season and Leuluai as he is under contract will be that. |

If I've learnt anything from the past is that the rumours are often wrong and the signing is usually one that comes completely out of left field. |

I might be wrong but I think they have three hookers at the moment Riddell,Leuluai and Mcillorum (sp)?
it would be strange of them to let two of them leave in one go and have to find a replacement. |

It is now 'home grown' which is contracted to your club for 3 years under the age of 21, 'federation trained' which is contracted to a british (or french i think) club for 3 years under the age of 21 and 'non federation' which is everyone else. All clubs have to have a minimum number of home grown and a maximum number of non federation players.
