| Just think Turner has a bit more pace and guile about and Whiting can cover 5 or 6 positions from the bench.

Agar for whatever reason has left Whiting at centre and simply replaced last weeks winger with a specialist winger in Calderwood. Seems fair enough to me.'"
Hall had played at centre against Quins and Cas despite Whiting being fit and available (I know he played full back against Quins) and was then forced out onto the wing because of Calders injury. Whiting has done absoluelty nothing at centre to suggest he deserves to start ahead of Hall. I don't know the reasons for Agar dropping Hall but if it is a tactical change then I don't see the point. Surely Agar didn't think we needed to play a defensive centre to combat the awesome attacking threat of Chris Nero?

Perhaps given the seeming ease with which we were exposed out wide at Wigan he is just playing it safe this week and prioritising the defense? We should still have enough attacking threat without Hall IMO.
Also as someone suggested perhaps he intends to give Turner a go at centre?

Would hope Hall would accept the situation as any other professional sportsman should.Work harder, get better, thus making it impossible for Agar to ignore him.
we can't afford to wrap players in cotton wool to avoid hurting their feelings and hope they don't go off on one.
Personally I think Hall has done OK this year, and has improved, however I also believe he is not yet a nailed on first team and Agar will chop and change until his defence improves even more.Once he achieves this I think his name will be one of the first on the team sheet.

I just don't see this, I really don't. He'll be a decent centre, sure, but his talents are being massively over-stated by some on here. All in my opinion, of course.

I'd say the same was true in reverse. Neither have decisively staked a claim to the shirt and there are arguments for including either one at the expense of the other. I do think Whiting gets a rough deal from some posters, whilst Hall is lauded as the next bug thing because he's fast.

My reason is simple.
Whiting can player anywhere apart from Wing or Prop (and he'd even give them a go if he was put there!)
Whiting will give 110% EVERY week.
He's stood out in every game he's played in so far.

Hall needs to leave at the end of the season. He'll get nowhere here.

As poor as Hall was against Wigan, in terms of defence, he doesn't deserve to be dropped for playing poorly out of position when he has the chance to be playing in his prefered position where he has played well so far this season.

| I will wait and see if anyone has been injured in training before commiting hard cash to a bet. There has been alsorts of injuries and team changes at the last minute and a key player to either team out could tip the balance either way.
The final team is never what you expect and you can end up with a right rib tickler of a bet.

I agree, but TBH it's an argument that has been done to death and Agar clearly has other ideas.

| I would have been tempted to drop Briscoe, more as a kick up the ars more than anything else. Whilst his runs forward have been good, he's dodgy under high balls (and Bradford kick to the wings a lot, it seems) and hasn't been brilliant positionally.

| In my view (and I see Hall as a real prospect), Whiting had done everything he needed to to secure the centre berth before Tansey's little hiccough. AFter that, Whiting went to FB and Hall got his chance at centre. By dropping Hall and putting Calderwood back in Agar is selecting the best performing (so far this season) centre and putting our only specialist winger on the wing. The logic seems sound.
This just shows that we now have a squad system and if a player doesn't perform they will lose the shirt. They might take a while to get used to this as a team and the same for us as supporters but hopefully it will encourage healthy competition rather than unhealthy sulking.

| Hall gets dropped, yet the blue eyed boy on the other wing can have 4 poor games out of 6 and is never even close to being dropped?
Leave Craig, it's obvious you're not wanted, go somewere your potential can be realized.

As I've said earlier, I just don't see it tbh.
Agar clearly wants Whiting at centre so he has dropped the stand-in winger for the specialist winger. Whether Hall should be first choice centre is another debate, just don't see the scapegoat bit in all honesty.
