As Pele launched into the tackle, Dwyer was still in the motion of passing it, which meant the ball still had his hands on it.

Don't know what else Pele is supposed to do there, apart from stand still and just let Leigh play.

Our defence is atrocious, but the team must feel right now that if they do defend, then they get penalised.

I'd say our attitude to just go forward and make some hard yards is by far worse than our defence.

Gobsmacked. We really are total and utter rubbish. Smith has had my backing but even I'm at my wits end. Players look like there running in treacle compared to Leigh.

As I said earlier in the week, Smith is living on his reputation, if it was an unknown Aussie assistant, he'd be gone at full time.

The pots is again pathetic, we have forwards but don’t use them to gain yardage instead give it to the smaller backs, then on the 5th we have forwards being given the ball. All that’s before we get on to a total lack of discipline that we hear they are always working on!! Really???? Think that’s total boll0x bit like the supposed training and coaching done in the week.

That for me is enough to show Smith and Gene are just not doing a job at all. We look totally clueless and Okunbor being pulled just sums up a totally embarrassing mess out there.

No doubt Carlos will be out for another lengthy period of time along with at least 2 games for Pele come Monday afternoon.

Credit to Leigh, they're not playing against much but they are playing at a pace far far far higher than we are.

Maybe Pearson fell for Smiths spiel about a long term rebuild (Ie an easy 3 years of secure employment for Uncle Tony) any good club owner would want improvements in year 1 and 2, not waiting until year 3, how many of your bosses would let you get away with not delivering in the first two years of your job because you promised things would come good in year 3?

At least most on here now agree with me about Smith.

I’ve seen enough thats beyond embarrassing and quite honestly Smith & Gene should be out of job by the end of today.

I agree I've never called for Smith to go or even considered it but that's enough for me, no other club has gone anywhere near as far backwards as we have over the last few years. I'm not even sure Shaun Wane could sort out this rabble.

Pearsons hands are tied financially but i do think he will sack Smith after the game and give Grix a run till the end of the season

Hoy is by far our most threatening player every game. He needs to play the full 80 every week, not start on the bench.
