Im usually a Pearson fan but ive found his recent comments to be very blinkered and selfish.
Yes we have a 25k ground and crowds are generally 10-12k so fans could sit apart, but what happens at half time when everyone rushes to the toilets and bar? What happens at the final hooter? How do you deal with hundreds queuing at Walton Street crossing when the gates are down. Its not manageable.
He also forgetting a lot of clubs dont have big grounds, that you need stewards, medics, police etc to put a game on and while Hull has had a low rate of infection do we really want a thousand or so away fans coming to visit and bringing the virus with them?
I want to get back watching my team as much as anyone, and understand the game cant survive without gate money, but saying we can be back in the ground on July 1st is ridiculous.

| With the KC and arranged seating surely we could get a certain number of fans in (season ticket holders?) and they still be socially distanced? Same with the KC bars - barriered socially distanced queues could also work. And ban away fans

I agree.
I don't like the idea of a Wednesday game
3rd 4th or 5th would be much better

Keeping it to season ticket holders doesnt bring in any extra money though, it just avoids having to give partial refunds for missed games but im not sure where things stand on that front.

| It's nonsense to suggest that we'll be attending games from 1st July.
How on Earth do you organise people sitting in alternative seats - aside from the fact that you'd still have people within two metres of you. Plus as UllFC says there's the congregation of people before and after the game. It's far, far more challenging than allowing a couple of dozen people in a pub or restaurant.
It's more likely that we won't have supporters allowed this year.

| Sorry misread a post hahaha
So basically the pay per view on a game by game basis via sky tv ,with the proceeds going to the club you select, is now a brilliant option
Clubs still make cash
Supporters see games
Sky contract honoured

That is the only option I can see this season.
Also would love to know exactly what out deal at the KCOM says, do we pay a fee per game? so much a year paid annually or monthly? do we have to play a minimum of games there a year etc. We know we have to split the gate over I think 7.5k but whats the fee for an empty ground I wonder?
If its too costly we'd be better moving in with another club for behind closed doors games and share the costs such as have games back to back. Id rather play at Craven Park if it meant avoiding giving the Allams some uneccessary cash!

So 2 people to a row (so they can get out without passing each other), and then 4 empty rows, that should should just about do it. What does that add up to, I wonder?

The problem with the KCOM deal is that it will be based on a typical season. The Allams won't budge an inch. They want us out - it'll make the sale of city more attractive.

Not 8,000 so how do you decide which season ticket holders are able to attend? Fans spaced out basically means adults only too. Also how would you allocate seats? How do you manage social distancing before the game not to mention everyone leaving at the same time.
Do you only allow one person in the toilets at a time if so how is that policed?
Too many problems to sort through, unfortunately. The virus has completely changed the way we live our lives, in some ways for good.

Suspect you are right, there must be something about 'league and playoff games must be hosted at the KCOM' in the clubs favour though, the number of home league and playoff games has gone up and down with different SL structures but I dont recall the club being refused by the SMC to play a competitive game. The Allams would have held us to ransom about any 'extra' games by now if they could.

| Well Adam is keen to get the crowds back in Stadiums but I can't honestly see that for months and if it does happen in say July I can see large swathes of fans staying away in fear anyway.

I dont understand his rush. Hes already been paid for 8000 season tickets and has previously said we dont make much from food and beverages anyway. We all want to get back watching live sport but is it realistic to think you can have a gathering of 10000 people before its deemed safe to go and get your hair cut?

I can't see fans returning for a long time. It's alright for people to say it won't bother them going to matches, they're not the one's to worry about, it's all the people they regularly come into contact with that are being put at risk.
I haven't missed a home game I could have gone to since 1959, so tricky times ahead.

I know some say and think that Adam is being selfish and greedy, but I believe he is very concerned about the sport for all the clubs.
We might be able to struggle through this season, and perhaps there would be a handfull of other clubs, but many could fall and that would be no good for the sport.
What good is it if only half of the clubs are left standing?
Were there is a will .... :

| I still think there'd be some mileage in a virtual matchday shop if games are behind closed doors where you could buy a virtual drink, snack, car park etc and the club gets the money.

| If the Allams are still in charge of the SMC when our lease is up for renewal, do we think AP will renew it, or look for our own community stadium?
Don’t think they’d bat an eyelid if they put us out of business in these current times.

Scarily it isnt that far away, we've been there 17 years and it is a 25 year lease. Even if by some form of miracle we found money for a ground you'd need 3 years to plan and build one, so we're only about 5 years from that point.
Can only hope theyve gone by then, bizarely their cost cutting may mean City are a better investment than other football clubs now.
