Lazy gits, if the ground staff at Saints can work through the night with heaters and a field bubble thingy me bob then why cant this club bearing in mind the fact that the away support was travelling from sunny East yorkshire to the south of France. I feel so sorry for the travelling fans because its not cheap to travel there and no one will be willing to offer free travel for when the games rearranged. RFL take note and ask questions as to why this match was not postponed yesterday! Its not like this weather wasn,t expected even in the South of France because it was mentioned two days ago in the Barry n Terry pod cast thing from WilliamHill.

Really a pitty for everyone this. Not a good game to have to back up on another later in the season. Also does not really let players get into the swing of the season. Never mind the inconvenicene for travelling fans.

They had pretty much the same injuiries last week also but would have had Baile back for todays game. Awful news for the fans that travelled out there, hopefully they will still make the most of it. On the other hand its another week your injured players to get fit.

Doing stats work off TV at the moment for Gloucester RU match and saw the technology they had for their pitch. Massive cover (they called it a duvet I think) with heaters under it. Pitch measured at 3 degrees while outside of it was colder. All Super League clubs at least should have something like this.

Feel for the fans who have travelled over there. What a nightmare. I know there is no control over the weather but sounds like more could have been done to get the game on. Hope the RFL try and be reasonable to you over the replay.

absolutley gutted, catalan club are a disgrace, spoke 2 bentham in the castle bar last night, he said ther shouldt be any problems! alledgedly the dragons waterd the pitch on friday and no attempt was made to cover the pitch! wdnt suprise me if catalans wantd this game off frm the start!

No it is not regular.

But there was no excuse for lack of pitch covers. We only drove from Carcassonne and I am angry, and so are my wife and children, so I can understand how angry the Hull fans must be. They paid so much money to come down and not only is there no game, but they can't even go swimming at Canet.

It was a poor performance from Catalans administration. They must be asked to explain by the RFL.

It wouldn't matter to the majority of travelling Hull fans if the game had been called off two minutes before KO or two weeks before as they will have paid up front. If I was at home and they told me two days prior that the game was off I'd still go to Perpignan for the break. I'm not trying to be flippant just pointing out that when the game was called off is irrelevant. Money has been spent but unfortunately they didn't get to see a game. Maybe the Cats need to play their first three or four games in England each season to minimise the chances of this sort of thing happening again.

I do feel for the Hull FC fans out there, but the idea that the Catalans have done this on purpose because they're afraid of playing you is nothing short of brilliant.

Should definitely be asking for the match commissioner to be taking a serious look. [uIf[/u Catalans haven't tried their utmost to get the game on in the way that many other clubs have been doing over the last 2 weeks, there should be repercussions. As a minimum paying for the team's travel/accommodation when re-arranged.

As I said mate I wasn't being flippant and I know you wanted to see the game but I assume you've paid upfront. Would you have stayed at home if the game was called off two days before you travelled? Or would you still have gone? You lose your money either way.
