Not everyone is the same,and it wont make people get up and visit the toilet more,as they already do anyway.Remember a lot of fans are in the pubs,hours before kick off

Don't really buy the "up and down due to drink" myself. I find parents taking their little brats for sweets, crisps & toilet happens far more frequently.
My problem is with having my £50 replica jersey soaked in beer because some numpty doesn't think before he/she celebrates. Why not make it bottles only?

You could even have a drinkers area, then at least if someone gets up in front of you, you only have yourself to blame for sitting there.

Think he means that a bottle with some liquid still in it will have a bit of weight/impact to it, whereas it's practically impossible for a plastic pint glass to still have any liquid in it once thrown.

But my point was that they don't take coke bottles off you, so why should a plastic beer bottle be any different?

Its not, and IIRC bottles are on the list of prohibited items (on the posters by the turnstiles), just no one ever enforces that.
