Pity Greenshields and to a extent Mathers arent still available if we are looking at a F/B.

You could level that at every member of the England squad, we were collectively sh/te. I reckon if he's good enough to have a place in the Melbourne squad they see something in him.

You're not wrong about Greenshields pure quality and can play 6.

Should have gone for him when available.....used the Westerman money on him,he was the best F/B in S/L by a country mile

yeh that's what my friend went onto say, hence why he only played 9 games last season never got to the 10 mark..
On widdop I was going to add that Melbourne obviously see something in him, but to me its not what we need, I personally would give tasney another year at full back as he is a great attacking weapon from that position and it was only his first full season in that position so he can only get better imo, we should be looking at a half not a full back, although I agree if greenshields was available it would have been worth a shot as he is for me the best full back in the league, always rated him when he played for st george.

A half who can confidently play hooker has to be priority, with centre closely after IMO.

I doubt Myler would leave Warrington and would rather see Nicklass get game time as didnt do Houghton any harm. Must have something lined up tho. With Leeds wanting cash for ground improvements a cheeky offer for McGuire would be nice but that wont happen

Nicklas isnt big enough or good enough to make the grade yet imo.

McGuire has pace and backs up well, but he is one of the most over-rated half backs I have ever seen.

I think it was clear for most to see Briscoe and Houghton would cut it.

Humberside only ceased to exist 14 years ago. You need to allow a bit more time for the news to reach other parts of the UK.

McGuire has been the best 6 in the comp for last 4 yrs. He is quick and does back up well, something we were lacking lots last season when sam moa broke the line. I rate him highly and carried leeds a lot last year. I for one would love to see him at hull. Just my opinion tho.

Not sure I agree with this. Whilst I don't like him, the matchwinner he scored late on against us to mean we finished 6th and not 4th summed him up - a constant danger with ball in hand IMO.

I actually think Horne was a better player then Maguire in 06 and both Pryce and T Barett have had better seasons in the last 4 years. In terms of consistsntly being good and from an overall perspective your probably right, the little to$$er has probably been the comps most effective 6.

As I said before, he has pace and backs up well. With those attributes, he will always be a threat whilst playing in a side like Leeds. But IMO, as a creative half back with the ball in hand, he is no better than what we have already got.

If and when we sign a half back, we need to ensure that they are creative above anything else.
