No nothing to do with Westerman. it started in Australia with the spat between Taylor and Watts
Club obviously supported Taylor but big big mistake getting rid of Watts

| So who's he talking about?
Senior players last night
Shaun
Faraimo
Carlos
Griffin
Taylor
Houghton
Paea
Hadley
Washroom
Manu
I presume he's meaning some of those?
Only green, sneyd and mini played other than that recently. Sneyd to wigan was doing the rounds a while ago. Is that who Radford was referring to last night?

Have to say, known Adam a long time and interviewed him many times and cannot remember him being more angry and feeling let down than he was today. He's seething and feels some players are not paying back the trust and investment club has given them. He's come out swinging.

Someone told me today there is a split in the camp with one group being pro Radford and the other not. Dunno if it's true but stuff he's told me before has generally been right.
Let's hope Pearson also invests in adding to the coaching staff

Gaz Ellis already now on the coaching staff and i expect he will take charge of the reserve team
I just hope the said four new senior players coming in over the winter are what we need rather than what Radford thinks we need.
I understand Adam Pearson will be taking more of a role in the new 2018/9 recruitment and is in regular contact with Motu

| Can’t fault Pearson’s comments, he is passionate and knows he has to spend to get us out of this mess or he will face a financial hit in pass sales anyway. Can we fly Motu back in for a couple of months of wheeling and dealing!?

Presumably he's coming over anyway in a few weeks in his new position of General Manager for NZRL.

| Sorry but Pearson sounds like a feck!n idiot. Proper ranting with no substance. All he means is he'll bin Abdull (who doesnt want to be here anyway), Washy...........errr beyond that i dont think he even knows though.
Me personally id bin the following
Talanoa - great servent but too many poor parts to his game, time to move on
Griffin - massively average - poor defense
Hadley - not 10% of the player Ellis was. Looked good at Wakey last year in a good pack. Shite this year and pre-Wakey
Washy - great servent but time to move on
Mini - Will be on a decent salary that can be better used elsewhere
Green - Made of biscuit. Get rid
Paea - needs to bulk up again and find some grunt or has to go

| Don't think Mini will be on the list, he is according to all the ultimate professional and has been playing up to now clearly injured.
Would see Manu as in more danger, he is probably on more money, has contributed little this year and really let the team down getting 3 match ban at crucial stage of the season.
Griffin must go, he doesn't have the right character or toughness.

its difficult to know for certain because some of them might be playing week in week out with injuries. guess we might have to wait and see who needs ops in the close season and who stays and goes. my hunch is that there won't be too many changes. the ones who on the surface seem to be underperforming are carlos, griffin, shaul, paea, manu, abdul and to some extent mini and houghton - however as i have said there may be other reasons

The Chairman’s vote of Confidence
You all know what’s next after the hammering Cas will give us
When you threaten and abuse the players in the papers after a massive loss then they tend to repay you

| Imagine the meltdown on here if this statement said Neil Hudgell has spoken....
You’d all be going into hysterics accusing lack of professionalism etc. Although it’s what the fans want to hear, imagine how players feel for the rest of the year? More poor performances will do more damage for season pass sales then a positive spin like this, and I think your pretty much guaranteed now poor performances.
What if he fails with these signings, what a problem he’s created for him self. He’s lost his head, made some predictions incredibly hard to back up due to contracts and promised the earth. I think Mr Pearson has messed up here, which to be fair is very unlike him.

| Sounds like he's trying to ward off a load of season pass non renewals to me. All this talk of 10 or 11 new players is just trying to convince fans it will all be different next year

Au contraire though, this is very like him. He had a fit after the Hudds play-off game, quite rightly, and made a noise about changing things up. He' s clearly not satisfied. He sees us as having the potential of a top club and has delivered in the last couple of seasons. Better this perhaps than comfortable mediocrity of Middle 8 ever-presence. IMO.

| People demanded action and it will happen says Peason, so why don't all the keyboard wariors wait and see what happens.
He has fixed it before and he do that again.
How many times in the past two years have we all been proved wrong, should remember that.

| not as easy as you think to just get rid of players who have families and bills to pay, and bring in 4 top level players just to please the fans, salary cap dictates in rugby and just throwing cash at it is not always the answer, injured players coming back next year will make a massive difference, the problem both hull clubs have at the moment is there are no standout youngsters coming through hence injuries take their toll

agree with that, particularly the part about the youngsters. Due to injury our young players have been given a massive chance to impress but have largely failed. I'd say Lane & Mantongo have looked good in patches so you could argue they have just been overplayed, but the others have looked nothing better than squad players.
Contrast to say when Cooke, King, Horne & later Yeaman broke through (largely due to us being skint and having no one else) and I was excited to see what was clear quite quickly could be international players. In later years you could see Tom Briscoe had 'it' but the current crop don't excite me.
