Yes we signed Head, he played well...then we ditched him for the crock Dykes who rumour has it we didn't even give a medical to! typical badly thought out transfer business, which has continued despite a change of ownership.

We got more value out of a team of mismatched has-Beens, loan signings and youngsters in 2012 (Tony Martin, Aspinwall, McGoldrick, Matty Rusell et al) than we have done in the 3 seasons since, yet have wracked up a massive bill in transfer fees and payoffs.

Agreed. Holdsworth was imo a good signing. He also played well and think he would have been good but was unlucky with his head injury and family problems. Miller on the other hand was tripe.

Sneyd is a good player but is surrounded by a team of players who have 0 ball handling skills. Other than pryce, rankin and houghton plus miniciello, I doubt the rest of the team can actually do decent passes both ways.

In the club's defence, his knee was clearly gone. The mistake was Dykes, not so much Head (even though he had bags of talent).

The basic skills aren't there. Backing up, dummy runners, passing ability. None whatsoever. the rot started under agar and is being perpetuated under radford, albeit with a brief interlude with gentle in charge.. radford was a crap captain and is an even worse coach. Head was never a viable long term option because of his knees, but he was easily the most talented 7 we've had in the Superleague era.

It was a while ago when he tweeted it but he seemed sincere. He's got his Hull shirts framed on his wall at home. Loved it at the club and was keen to stay. As you say there were obvious concerns about his fitness record.

I said before the season started that people were expecting too much of sneyd. His decision making has been poor, his passing isn't great and his kicking has been really disappointing. I'm sick of seeing him kick aimlessley early in the tackle count because he doesn't know what else to do. Thank fook I don't go to away games any more

I'm not saying he is a fantastic player. Indeed I said quite clearly he was not worth the money FC paid for him. However, he did not play for a "bottom of the table" team last year.

Agreed. His kicking game off his weaker foot was as good as most others we've had. He'd have been a regular at at least SOO level if it hadn't been for his injuries.

Sneyd was ripping it up at Cas in first half of last season at top end of the table. His end of year stats clearly show he is a decent player. Our lack of go forward and total reliance on our halfs to create everything seems to be major issue. We have little or nothing coming from our 9 or 13 and our 2nd rows are just workhorses. Our gameplan or playbook is so one dimensional and easy for the other team to read it is embarrassing to watch. Our complete lack of pace on the fringes doesn't help but there cannot be any excuse for our mind numbing predictability in pretty much everything we do. This can only be coming from the coach I guess as the players seem unwilling or unable to come up with anything off the cuff or show any variation to keep the other team guessing. From our kick offs to our set plays to the inside drop off pass its the same every week! Come on Lee, get it sorted or move aside as its simply not good enough.
