Article in the League Express. SL's fixtures working group has explored the possibility of shortening the regular season and extend number of teams in the play offs to 5, 6 or 8.

Just confirmed on Sky tonight. Decision to be made on Monday. They've got to somehow make sure Leeds are in the play-off's

Think it will be 5 unfortunately, but would be miraculous if our season were still alive for another week having been dead since the Salford game.

If Leeds lost to Wakefield on Sunday by nine or more we go above them on points percentage (same win ratio).

Leeds points difference from us is only +8, so they need to win on Sunday, otherwise the "Points Scored Percentage" comes into play.

With France in lockdown, I can't see Cats being involved, unless they've already relocated to the uk.

Maybe that's why they've rearranged a fixture against Salford on Monday.

You can call it that I wouldn’t. In the closing quarter of the first half we really got some go forward and we looked to be well up for it. Sadly half time break didn’t help us as it broke the intensity and we never got it back. I thought Rovers were there for the taking but we lacked something or HKR were better than people state.

An even number of teams would make more sense. Currently no point to a lot of games, I wouldn’t be surprised if they fixed it so Sky has a longer competition. 8 in play off with instant loss for last two teams then 6 in full play offs.

Whatever gets said at 5pm today may completely change things....
